I have only been playing with the Kemper for a week or so, but I would ask for one thing before all others - a faster boot-up time. It seems to be a bit more than 45 seconds with the latest OS, and that's a long time watching the progress bar.
A very basic request -
-
-
So turn it on and:
1) put the kettle on
2) make a sandwich
3) pour a beer
3) set the rest of your rig up
or whatever ... It takes as long as it takes ... A watched kettle never boils ( guess that screws no. 1)
-
One thing you can do to reduce Boot-up time is to have as few as possible Rigs in the Browse Pool.
-
Make a backup of the Kemper. Take off the profiles you're not using. Boot up time is quicker with less profiles.
-
I guess presets (cabs included) and performances add in, don't they?

Thanks - I didn't know this.

Not sure that really helps when you get a power-bounce during a live gig.

Have you had one? - I have (once). I was back up and running before the keyboards and the FOH desk ... perhaps consider a UPS?

Twice in the past year. One was an outdoor festival gig where the power conditioner in the main PA rack failed, the other was a pit gig where the pit outlets were run through the main lighting rig, and the light tech missed a cue and bounced us.

Since Murphy's Law dictates that any bounce will doubtless happen at the most embarrassing moment possible, I would carry a small UPS (the Kemper won't require much) and just consider that a part of your guitar rig. In fact, my Kemper plugs directly into a UPS.
Sometimes the power can blip for just a second, enough to bounce the Kemper but leave the rest of the band up and running, leaving you the odd man out. Even if it reboots more quickly, having your amp go offline in the middle of a song is something none of us would want to experience. I'm perfectly capable of looking stupid on my own without any help from flaky power sources.
Trust no one, and bring your own gear.
