I'm sending different midi controllers from Cubasis 3 on my iPad to the Kemper, as documented in the manual: CC #47 to preload a performance and CC's #50-54 to load the slot. I find out that the Kemper is very very slow (I'm talking about 2 seconds!) in responding to this midi data. I monitored the outgoing midi signal from Cubasis, and it sends it well on time to the Kemper. It's the Kemper that takes this long to switch slots. Anyone?

We cannot reproduce such an issue. Be aware, that using CC# 50-54 requires sending correct values, >0 to simulate the hit of a button and 0 to simulate button release. Subsequent CC# 50-54 trigger Morphing. Therefor scrolling within your project might lead to unintended results.
I'm recommending to load Slots via bank select LSB + program change, which reduces complexity and is always unambiguous. If you stay within the same MIDI bank, bank select LSB is even redundent and program changes are sufficient.
It's strange that you cannot reproduce it... I changed my method to bank select LSB and program changes like you recommended, and it's still quite slow in responding to it. I have the Kemper sending out midi clock to other devices at the same time (there's no loop!)... Could that be the reason, that the Kemper is too slow because of that?

Hi Burkhard, I tried it and unfortunately it doesn't change anything.
I also tried it from my DAW (Logic) so that I can see exactly at which times the events are being sent.
I takes 1 to 2 seconds (that's a few bars depending on the tempo) before the switching takes place. With the remote it's immediate.
All the Kemper receives, is the bank select and the program change messages. I even tried without bank select and it's the same problem.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Do you refer to the sound change or the display update?
And are you using a current OS release e.g. 8.7.10 or 8.7.15?
I'm using 8.7.10.
But it's indeed the display update that is slow. I've put everything right in Logic (a quarter note before I want the change to happen) and the sound changes on time. So the problem is solved.
