It is a kemper issue, because the kemper sends status information permanently and it is a harley benton mp 100 issue, because the mp100 cant process these status messages.
„Active Sensing“ is a standard MIDI message and it is one(!) byte every 300ms. Every MIDI device should be able to handle that.
I fail to see where this is a „Kemper Issue“. If the manufacturer of the mp100 has questions about it he is invited to contact us.

Anyone know how or when the Player sets its internal clock?
When being connected to the Rig Manager.
-
Selectable MIDI channel comes with the next version.
-
If the color changes, that rig is edited, but not stored. Either store the rig or load a different one.
-
Orange light means: you are in Network Mode! The QR code on the back is to connect when you set the Player to be an Access Point.
Press BANK+WIFI to switch between Network and Access Point Mode. When it lights green, you can connect to the Wifi which credentials are encoded in the sticker at the back.

Rig Manager (Desktop) sets the Clock when connected via USB.
-
The other way around: first you press the button (sending 1), then you release the button (sending 0)
-
It is a "button" - send 1 for "pressed" and 0 for "released" - it is intended to be used with programmable MIDI boards.
-
No, you need to use Rig Manager for this.
-
Maybe.
I have tried CC 50 - 54 and random numbers throughout.
Tried PC random numbers throughout.
Can someone share the correct numbers for selecting Rig1 in any bank?
Note that the CC50-54 are "keys", you need to send 1 and 0 (press and release)

Ok....
- Changing to home network in RM worked fine
- Disconnected from PC, WiFi/BT button turned yellow (I guess to show it's connected to my home network as it's normally green in Hotspot mode)
- Connecting to the Player with my device (also connected to my home WiFi) worked fine
- Rebooted the Player, I can still connect to it via my Home network - yay!
- Turned off WiFi at the Player, turned it back on and it's still in Home Network mode - great
But, if I want to take this out and use it at a gig and be able to connect to it via my tablet or phone, how do I get it back into Hotspot mode without having to remember to switch it back on the PC?
Thanks for the help so far.
You can easily switch between Network Mode and Access Point Mode by holding down BANK whilst pressing the BT/WiFi button. You do not need to reset the data at all.

Regardless of the specification, I've used passwords of this length for well over a decade and the Player is the first device that has had an issue with it. I'll stick with USB I guess.
Since the passphrase is used to calculate a PSK with PBKDF2 my assumption is that you just enter the first 63 characters of your wifi password and it will work, too. This is a technical/algorithmical limit.
Oh - and btw. that actual PSK is only 256bit, so there is no security benefit at all with using longer passwords than 63 characters.
-
The password length was limited by mistake, it will be 63 characters according to the WPA2 standard in an update.

You can‘t. It receives on OMNI.
There is only MIDI input, over USB only and no „MUDI THRU“, so there is no application of selecting a specific MIDI channel.

That's the issue for me too. I always have Rhythm and Lead in slots 1 & 2, but normally have some specialty sounds and tunings spread over the next few banks, dependant on what set my band are playing from the back catalogue. In the heat of a 2+hr originals set, there's no way I can work without the re-assurance of a screen, however much the player seems like a god-send at airport security.
The LEDs show you where you are and where you are switching to. It is quite easy to navigate.

Use "Wireshark" and you will see it's MIDI over IP (for Datakomunication) and it's UDP broadcast to find the Remote.
I'm using my Remote Wireless .It is not MIDI. The protocol is proprietary and it even changes between firmware versions. You won‘t be able to make any use of it.

Still, just 5 rigs with 3 buttons and NO LCD to tell you which one you are about to switch to? That seems like a tough sell live.
