Replace „automatically“ by „immediately“.

The Master Volume knob does change up to 5 values together. It has no own specific value, it just raises or lowers all linked volume levels and keeps the „overshoot“ so the relativity of the levels is being preserved when changing it forth and back.
-
There are several situations where such a behavior is undesired, like
- after a reboot, the pedal is not connected and the user can't raise the volume again
- after a reboot, the pedal(s) still are full throttle and the audience is going to be blasted after the powercut
- after a reboot, the device is at a different location and probably a different pedal is connected
That's just out of my head before the first coffee, there are more situations. To cover all of this, the "value" of the pedals are updated on the first change with a pedal. To detect "change", the values at bootup are indeed scanned, but they won't result in an immediate change in sound.

Well, that‘s what they do.

Windows 7 has reached its end of life since 2015, extended support ended 2020:
https://docs.microsoft.com/lifecycle/products/windows-7
However, there are older Versions of Rig Manager you could use, though I would not recommend to stay on Windows 7 at all. -
Actually, this is not an error. The controllers 50-54 mimic the "button presses" of a MIDI controller.
If the slot is selected, 1 will trigger "Morph Button Down" which starts the morph ramp to go to maximum.
If the slot is not selected, 1 will trigger "Select Slot"
In both cases, a 0 will trigger "Morph Button Up" which means "releasing the button". This starts the morph ramp to go back to minimum if the time between 1 and 0 is more than 300ms or just notes that the next 1/0 pair will trigger the morph ramp down.
This might sound more complicated than it is, just check out the manual regarding the Remote which describes the mechanics in details for the foot switches 1-5.
The idea is to get Remote functionality for slot selection/morphing as easy as possible with a MIDI board.
You can also just use MIDI program changes if you program this from a MIDI track or so.

But with locking you cannot copy the effect to another effect slot.
I could save a preset for the effect, but copy/paste would be more easy.this can be done with drag and drop (plus holding Ctrl).
-
Assuming you want to have two performance slots with some effect slots containing the same setting:
- lock the effect slots
- select the other slot
- unlock the effect slots
done. This way you "distribute" settings over all slots.
Is this what you wanted to achieve?

Replace 77 77 with 7F 7F which is the maximum value.
-
The Profiler keeps the currently loaded Rig over a power cycle. It is not saved, it is just still loaded.
-
-
Use the RIG keys on the right. You can also use the PAGE keys.
-
Just drag & drop the Effect Symbol of the slot to a folder under "All Presets".
-
This is the MIDI indicator, indicating that the Profiler is receiving SysEx commands voa the MIDI ports.
-
You can only edit both end values. If you want to edit the resulting morphed value, the editing would be ambiguous: do you want to adapt the lower or the higher value or maybe both? It is not decidable.
it could display the value, but I don‘t know how useful this is. -
As described in the Rig Manager Manual (Help->Manuals->Rig Manager Manual), Chapter "Rig Editor", Section "Edit Morphs":
Edit Morphs
To make a parameter morph, simply hold "Command" on macOS and "Ctrl" on Windows while changing its value. As you can see, this creates an increasing span between two colored dots. The orange dot represents the toe position whereas the blue one shows the heel position. To change the toe value, release the option key. To reverse the position of the dots and therefore reverse how the parameter will morph, drag in the opposite direction. This is immediately followed by the section listing the key commands you might find useful.
-
This is a feature. The Profiler preserves your current edits - even when not saved - over a power cycle (or power failure).
To discard your edits, just reload the Rig in question. -
Please update to the latest release 7.3.2
