Hi Guys,
Now as far as I can see this is impossible
Is there any way of getting the monitor out to function as a direct out as I cannot seem to find it.
Cheers

I agree. The file management system reminds me of the old "DOS". Very limited and hard to use.
Anyone know when this will be addressed?
Even DOS had directories/folders!
This is not a case of the Monitor speakers being that bad or something, I can A/B with the XLR/SPDIF on my Kemper and the SPDIF does not sound as good. Has a funny high end tinge thing going on, almost as if the sample rate isn't matched (it is). Every profile clips my SPDIF input without touching any levels, straight in. This has to be an incompatibility.
I can record what I am talking about but its not nice to hear, just massive overloading of the input.
I think I can record the high end digital noise thing I hear.. but I am not sure. Again, all this just vanishes when I use the XLR into the same sound cards balanced inputs.
Have you got you sound card set up to clock from the Kemper? So it should be in slave mode. Sounds like maybe you haven't. Just having the same sample rate is not much use if the clocks aren't synced.
Yes, this has me confused as well...
In a similar vein I Have always wondered what sort of person buys these http://www.custom-cable.co.uk/…l-interconnect-cable.html
Actually, this is a policy. On my system I disabled it, so I can remove USB sticks at any time (given not file operation is occuring).
Default is write-cache, so you will get notified by windows that the removal might have lead to corrupted data if you didn't eject the device properly.
Timo
Exactly.
Hi Andy,
Ok got you.
The interesting thing about your profiles for me is how well they work with different guitars/pups.
Lots of the other user profiles I have tried seem to work much better with certain setups than others.
Your post eq settings for me seem to enhance the profiles useability with a wide range of guitars, turning the eq off makes them less universally usefull if you know what I mean? Also what is interesting is that when I look at the eq settings they are pretty different to what I would go for but they sound spot on to me. More studying required I think.
The Kemper is a great thing really, so much access to other peoples tastes, skills, ideas and equipment. It's certainly making me think about things a bit differently!
Extremely nice profiles by the way
Cheers
Andy
Windows does not use delayed write for USB (removable) memory.
Are you sure about that? What versions of windows don't?
Hi mr And,
I'm interested in your post amp eq on some of the profiles.
Was this to get the profile nearer to the actual amp sound or would you have used post amp eq on the real amp in the same way?
Cheers
Andy
Wow nice one thanks.
Shame we have reached the 9pm curfew for guitar playing in this house
No crashes ever here.
Just a bit of an annoying gain knob.
Great. I was getting fed up of putting .com in every time
Hi Bill,
I really like this profile, I know it's a bit cheeky but could you do a cleaner one as well?
Cheers
Andy
I like the look of it, nice and earthy.
Nice one!
Under the sales of goods act in the UK your contract is with the company you purchased if off and not in anyway the manufacturer.
If the dealer tells you to contact the manufacturer I would never deal with them again.
Within this timeframe they should replace it with a new unit.
Get in touch with a solicitor, a single letter would do the job.
Wow what a game!
Revenge is sweet.
Silly question, but does this noise disappear, when you disconnect the main outs, by pulling the cables?
It certainly does
As an example if I choose the 'Twin 1 Clean" factory patch and turn off the DIST and REV, put master on full and volume on full.
This is into a Konnekt 48 and then adat to a fire face 800, no guitar connected.
Cables disconnected noise floor is around -98 db no audible hiss.
Cables connected noise floor goes to -82db now we have audible hiss.
Turn DIST on noise floor goes to -72 db with lots more hiss.
As I said it is pretty low level so doesn't bother me but it is definitely there.
Cheers
Andy
My kemper definitely has hiss even with gain on minimum and no guitar connected.
It's pretty low level though.
It's funny I had 3:0 or 2:1 in my mind, not far of yours.
Whatever it is it will be interesting.
My bet at barca is 2:1 with chelsea going through on away goal.
Come on Chelsea
