Do you mean buying from Thomann? They often have B-stock stuff and i bought it several times, never had a problem. Btw I think quite a few people who just got their toasters will send it back to get the rack version.

I think its funny that the lower half of the logo shows a symbol normally used for tubes in tube amp schematics

We will anyway, a rackmount blackbox could give us some hitching.......
KVC forever (Kemper Vintage Club)
Changed my signature
Edit: Why can't I see my signature???

Those who prefer vintage white got to stick to the toaster version. So far all shops list only the black version of the PowerHead, the PowerRack und the unpowered rack
-
Yeah, found the unpowered rack verion on a other website for the same price as the toaster version.
So price is not an issue regard the topic of this thread.
-
Btw Thomann already lists the PowerHead and the PowerRack for 2100 Euro each. No price for non-powered rack version yet.

From this source: http://www.skatingdog.com/?p=402
"Owners of the original Kemper Profiler will be able to purchase the Amp Upgrade for a price TBA. It is required to send the Profiler to he manufacturer to install the amp safely."

I'm also disappointed by the official response. To be honest something smells fishy.
I really hope there will be a solution for getting back the pre 1.6 sound without the need to downgrade and loosing the new features.I think we should wait until we get more reamped clips.
-
I just hope it comes for the toaster version too

My Nik Huber Krautster II is the most versatile guitar i ever played.

Sorry about being dumb, but can someone please explain to me, what an IR cab is?

I have *never* heard any aliasing, and have read a lot of people saying they haven't heard it either. I wish they hadn't wasted time fixing something that frankly I don't think even exists, especially at the expense of messing up tones that I liked.
A lot of people were hearing it. No offense, but saying that the aliasing wasn't there is just not true.
-
I understand why a lot people are a bit upset, but does it really make sense to ask for unchanged tone? With the older Versions of the Firmware the aliasing was part of what everbody was hearing. Now with that part of the sound (almost) gone how can you expect there are no tonal changes?
(The above only applies if the changed sound is really related to the aliasing fix which we do not know).
-
I think the difference in all three samples is nothing that can't be fixed with a little EQing. So with the aliasing minimized 1.6.0 is the way to go for me.
-
I like the 1.6.0 more

Found it, thanks a lot BuckeyeBrown
Regarding the clean boost, maybe just use a stomp (A) of the Kemper?
-
Is this profile still available? The link in the first post is not working and i connot find it on rig exchange.
Thanks

Black version already available at Thomann
Would be nice if someone from Kemper could give us a hint when the version with the power amp will be available. Plus some tech specs.
-
Thomann already lists the black version:
http://www.thomann.de/de/kemper_profiling_amplifier_bk.htmIt says it will be available April 23
