Wonderfull lead-tones! Fantastic. And outstanding defensive playing!
What's the guitar-brand?Alice Cooper... ahhh ... as I was young ...

Same here... I sent white noise recording
You don't need that for WahWah....So I tried to replicate my RMC-10 wah by ear. Not easy. Where can I find an explanation for all the kemper wah parameters?
In the manual.
But you can try it by ear under Stomps=> Unused button. => Scoll to WahWah (orange-ocher). => Choose a similar sounding wah. => The wah will automatically loaded. => Modify the different parameters to match the sound. => Store button => Store stomp modules => Name it. => StoreAnd then post the parameters here please.

Monkey, you got me thinking. I thought there were more of us Yanks on here than you might think. So, I checked the first 25 pages of forum members that listed their location and here is what I got:
Germany = 25
UK = 13
Australia = 2
Canada = 6
USA = 49
All Others (Mostly Europe) = 52So us Yanks are well represented here But, you were correct. All total there are a majority of Europeans.
In 3 days maybe we have to see that the English Channel is in minimum as wide as the Atlantic. In this case Britain is probably another continent and we have to deduct 13. -

@flyingheelhook
Yes that is my opinion, too. The reason I asked was only to know why the settings were in that way. I play a LP Standard in volume on 6. In the past I used the volume turned significantly higher. So I can imagine the differences. And I don't wanted to pass an ignore anyone.
It's better to have more setting than one. -
So,
I posted it earlier, I've got a Morley Tremonti Wah which I would like to replicate. It's a nice one for high gain leads and ambience stuff.
I've made the noise files in both positions and sent them to Don but I
think he is too busy.
So I'd like to try this on my own. How do you do that? Send the white noise through the Kemper again and than try around the settings until it matches the recorded files as close as possible (by ear and measurement)?
Fine! It's a nice machine!
Till now we reconstruct and moddeling the Wah-Sounds by ear. Would be nice if you try it, too and give us the results of your settings. So Monkey will all collect. -
Well done Monkey! A pinned thread I can support, too.
I think we have a very nice collection now. But 3-4 important Wahs we need nevertheless:
An Ibanez - WH10V2 of the 80s. I have one on the loft. Maybe I'm looking for. The Ibanez WD7 Weeping Demon. The Morley of the late 70s (its on my loft, too). A very imortant machine of the 70s in my eyes the Fuzz Wau-Wau of Elk/Selmer/Ibanez/Bruno/Mica/Diamond (Get it on the loft but its damaged). And the Colorsound of the late 60s, naturally!
My tip: Look and search on your lofts and cellars, please! -

And now the Custom Audio Electronics MXR Mc-404 WahWah
[Blocked Image: http://www.jimdunlop.com/images/products/MC404CAEWah-11.png]
Manual 3.7
Peak 8.6
Pedal Range +30%
Peak Range -49%
Pedal Mode: Bypass @ Toe
Mix 95%
Ducking 0.0
Volume +0.0
In my opinion it is a very nice one, because its well-balanced.
-
Who made the:
Bob Weir?
I had to change it, cause it has a very late action if the guitar-volume (humbucker) is not full at 10. Maybe the Wah is for a particular sound (EMG, Shaddows?). Could this be checked again?
So I changed to:
Manual 5.6Peak 7.7
Pedal Range -79%
Peak Range -77%
Pedal Mode: Touch
Mix 100%
Ducking 0.0
Touch Attack 2.0
Touch Release 0.5
Touch Boost 0.8
Volume +0.5

Sorry for haschee!
But you did it well Monkey!
Would be better to say that both are for various operations. That was my intention!
Chi-Wah-Wah 1 has more power in bass and is more agressive in treble an presence. But sometimes the sound is a little bit chemical with gain.
Chi-Wah-Wah 2 is not so strong in treble and especially bass. But in the middel there is more power.
So it's a question of amp and sound what do you prefer.
If I find again a particularly good alternative, I'll post it here. But that will not happen so quickly. -
welcome!
-
Now the solution of Plutonium Chi-Wah-Wah 2 with a little softer result with gain in the treble position. In my opinion the pedal range is near the original, too.:
Manual: 5.4
Peak: 7.1
Pedal Range: +10%
Peak Range: +5%
Pedal Mode: Your desicion again. I prefer: bypass @ toe
Mix: 100%
Ducking: 0
Volumen: 0
Ok. Check it out. -
Ach so war das. Besten Dank!
-
@dpeters95
My pleasure!@prsgary
Yes! At this point There where my problems!
You're right.
I think that depends causally on the comments made by @benvigil.
With some gain tone it works excellently. But there are cream-tones in which it is too hard, especially in the treble position.
It is not easy to find there a balance for all rigs. But for clean it's perfect.@Monkey_Man
Thank you! But isn't it better to open a extra Wah-Wah threat for the collection? So we don't have to search a long time for Wah-Wah settings. But there should be no discussions.
But this is only a consideration of myself... -
That's my way, too. But I don't use in this case the stomp NG on A-Stomp. I use it then after a dist/boost/driv/wah or phaser if these is noise.
-
@OhG
Yes this is a interesting question. But I'm not sure if there is the right answer.
In my first time with Kemper I often had sounds with many stomps. At that time I had in minimum one noise gate on C-Stomp. On D-Stomp is mostly my WahWah.
Nowadays I learned to use less stomps. In this case I don't need the noise gate so often.
But I'm often in the situation with clean-sounds that it is better after the EQ to turn on a NG.
But sometimes I get a noise gate after a drive/booster etc. and another a second NG after the WahWah.
But that's not better everytime...Therefore, I think your question makes sense.
Perhaps the answer is simple: Whenever it rustles.
