Ingolf,.. I wish. She's a very nice person as well which makes her even more attractive.

I know one of the hot chick backing singers.
Just sayin' like -
Paul, that deluxe is excellent..
It's still a bit hot for me even with the volume pot turned down to 3 (LP Humbuckers) but I've saved it as is cos it's nice anyway
and turned the gain down and saved that separately and for me that's very, very nice.
Thanks! -
Thanks waraba, interesting stuff from you both
Mike -
Thanks Paul, I'll grab 'em when I get home later.
-
Just had a look at the rig exchange under your name. What is the exact name of the deluxe profile?
Thanks mate. -
Interesting, as you say, the opposite to what I usually do, I'll grab a couple of those profiles and try them in the way that you suggest.
I'm essentially a recording player using mainly clean to overdriven and that's the way I normally approach refining the sounds.
I'll give it a try, it makes sense given the way different settings of the amps are profiled.
It's never too late for an old dog,
woof!

Hi Paul,
I don't want to turn the gain up if I've got it at the right amount of drive, and anyway it could well add to the fizz issue.
I'd rather not use pedals as well as the KPA.
The onboard effects certainly help a great deal.
How do you deal with it yourself specifically?
Thanks -
This isn't a huge deal but I've found in the past with different guitar hardware simulators that if you overdrive a nice clean sound you get either/and a muddiness and a fizz.
This is also apparent in the Kemper but is fairly easy to fix unlike say, the Pod HD which could take me an hour to get the sound right.
It's a different problem than with a real amp somehow.
After playing electric guitar for 45 years I thought I may as well find out what others do to address this issue (if indeed it is an issue for other people)Mike

Thanks mate, I'll have a look.

Hi Nikos, thanks for the thoughts.
There is compression and eq on the vocal would you go further and how?
Regarding the melodyne would you use it just for tuning or other purposes?
Cheers -
Thanks mate, have a critique of the mix if you have time,
Mike -
Come on boys, give me some criticism on the mix, you don't have to like the song.
Ta,
Woof! -
Thanks MM, appreciate the comments.
With regard to the guitar timing, it's as I like it, I'll look into the reverb amount re the lead guitar.
I think I can do a better vocal though.
Cheers. -
First mix so needs a bit of work still, I may stick a new vocal on this week.
Any criticisms gratefully received.

"since I frosted them with Cryo Tuning"
Huh? Never heard of it, explain immediately!:) -
I have a 2006/7 white Les Paul Studio, a Fender Strat, a 1983 Ibanez Roadstar (bought new) a Martin DM, a Washburn Acoustic bought second hand in 1987
a Fender Jaguar bass and a Mitsumi Flamenco guitar bought in 1969! (my first decent guitar)
I've owned loads in the past including a lovely SG with tremolo but my biggest regret was selling a 1974 Les Paul Deluxe gold top. I still weep about that one in the dead of night...The Les Paul is always the first to use on tracks for me, the Martin even being at the cheap end of the Martin scale just plays and sounds beautiful and is probably the finest crafted guitar I've ever owned.
Current amps are a Roland JC120 original from 1983 and a Vox 30 watt.
Oh, and the Kemper. -

I've put 2 clean profiles up, the first 2 on the RE if you search for clean.
CleanFLA80s has a slight flanger sound and CleanChorus80s has chorus, of course if you just want 'em clean take mod effect off and tweak the treble and presence a bit for chiminess.
I found if you put the noise gate on full for the chorus patch the picking sounds great.
Cheers,
Mike
