I didn't know there was an audible difference in sound between merged and studio. But say they fix the issues, then I see no reason for not doing merged profiles all the time, since you still get the admittedly great MBritt sound, and can also use the "head" with your own speaker cabinets.
As for each profile depending on the cabinet and mic in use, I agree. But this happens also depending on what guitar you use, but your profiles are still very useful after some tweaking. So if Kemper get to the point of having merged to be completely faithful to the studio profiles, then merged will simply be more of a good thing.

Well when making a merged cab you first make a studio profile (normal old school profile) and then you making direct amp profile (di after power amp, just before speaker) important thing is that amp has exact same settings when making studio and di profile.
After that i copy the cab from studio profile, paste it on di profile, press merge and save the final profile.
whats good now is the cab is separated (speaker+mic+mic position)You can as you say use this "merged" profiles to use di to guitar cab from monitor out and use main out with cab to a pa.or you can use "merged" cabs with di profiles to find new sounds. remember when copying a merged cab to another di profile you don't want to merge that cab again.
Well i guess in your case you just wanted studio profiles, but i can't see any disadvantage to use these or other merged profiles. it works like a normal studio profile if you want but you have more options if wanted.

Great Thumas, that's exactly what I thought was going on. Yes, ideally, I would have all my favourite profiles as Merged. But quite a few of my favourites (Andy, Britt, etc...) are studio only, at least for now. I have to say, many of them work great with a cabinet as well, but Merged seems to be the best and most accurate option when using a real cab.

Thank you so much these are great!

Stupid question regarding the merged label. I assume everyone who uses Merged means they took the profiles at both speaker out with DI and then the full setup, cab and mic included, right? I'm getting a bit confused by the labels and also I hope people label their profiles correctly when they share them (not your case obviously, I'm thinking less "prepared" profilers on the exchange). If I got this right, then I'd really only be interested in Studio profiles (head, cabinet, mic, and all - please correct me if I'm wrong!) and Merged for when I want to use my speaker cabinets.

Thanks for your help and thank you again Thumas. Those Soldanos are gold!

The folders in Rig Manager are designed like the folders in the Finder or Explorer. In file systems, you don't see the files of subfolders mixed with the files in the parent folder. This might be a good feature for you, but I'm pretty sure there are other users who would be really confused if we changed the behavior of Rig Manager's folders. viabcroce: moving is just the default when you drag between Local Library folders. Press Ctrl while dragging, and it will become a copy instead of a move.

Hi Arne, I get what you are saying, though I can't think of any disadvantage in being able to use the parent folder to browse all folders within. Or better said, I don't see how it would take away from what we already have. Organization-wise, I think it would be a step forward, since it would add one more level of management. But whatever you guys decide, I'm cool with it... :)

Don't know 3.0 by now (kemperless atm), but tonestack-presets were there all the time like other presets of stomps etc.

I thought these might be something different since they are organised differently. I might be totally wrong, but maybe Andy or Michael or anyone who has provided profiles for this update can clarify...

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have noticed in the new Factory Content 3.0 Download, there are several tonestacks provided within their own folder. I didn't see that in previous packs. Does this mean we are getting accurate tonestacks for various amps?
That would be huge and a major thing so I guess I am just misreading it?

    Thank you! Makes perfect sense!

Ingolf, I thought maybe it was in some way similar to the IR format... Please see my post above to understand my basic lack of understanding of the new profiling process... :)
