What ohm cab ate you using? If it is 16 ohms the Kemper will be half max volume 300 W.

The 2u Matrix fan is quieter than the 1u rack. I have the GT1600FX. I prefer the sound of Cabs together with frfr monitors. I use the Matrix with two Mesa 4×12 cabs & two Atomic CLRs from the Kemper and for small shows one cab & one CLR.

I have been thinking of trying a new setup and in order to have enough outputs was thinking about using the direct out set at -15 with a XLR adaptor to go to the FOTH. Is this OK to do?

I also agree the Kemper itself should have the clip end but my biggest gripe is the cable itself, I can't stand all the ethercon cables that you can not put away and untangle. This one feels just like a mic cable which saves me a lot of aggravation during setups and breakdowns.

I love my Kemper but the cable that comes with the remote is pure crap. I have bought a bunch of replacement ethercon cables trying to find a good one but have been unsuccessful until today. Others have become a tangled mess or are way too stiff and hard to bend. This one is very flexable and durable and feels just like a mic cable, it does not became a tangled mess, and is rubber covered on the plastic tab so the tab will not break. I can not recommend it enough if you are like me and hate the awful remote cable. This is the remote cable that should come with the Kemper.

I just bought a Matrix GT1600FX power amp but before that I ran the Kemper powerhead through two Mesa cabinets equaling 4 ohms and I never had an issue with the amp shutting down and my band plays very loud. Using two Cabs at 4 ohms is a lot louder than one 8 ohm cab.

Just saw Testament and both guitarists were using Kempers. Guitar and Bass in Prong were also using Kempers.

He has a passive CLR so he would need to use a power amp with the CLR.

I have 2 Atomic Clrs but I would like to compare them to a Matrix FR212 or two FR212s.
-
Matrix sells a package on their page of a GT1600fx and two FR212 cabs.

I am saving up for a Matrix power amp to use with my Mesa 4x12s. After that I want to try two Matrix fr212s with the power amp to see how that sounds.

That Accugroove Supreamo active cab is $2,800 plus shipping. That is crazy especially for a cab that I can not find any reviews on.

I think I read somewhere that the main outs send a slightly louder signal than the monitor out so maybe that is why it sounds better to your ears?
-
Really so you crank the Kemper all the way up and use the Matrix power amp knobs to control the volume? Why do you not always use the monitor and direct outs with the Matrix? Is there any benifit to using the main outs to the monitor and direct outs?

I have a power rack but I am considering getting a Matrix power amp. What is the best way to hook it up for live use? The XLR main outputs go to the soundboard and I keep the main outs set at -15 db. Is it best to send the main 1/4 left and right outputs to the power amp and control cabinets volume by the power amp itself or use the monitor out & direct out to the power amp and control the volume with the Kemper?

- I would like storing outputs to be updated. There is no way to overwrite a stored output so you end up with a bunch of the same named stored outputs and you don't know which is the correct one. Also right now not all parameters can be stored from preset to preset. It can be frustrating to switch output settings and still have to switch the output parameters that did not change.

I am not at my Kemper now but I noticed that when the power amp is on and the power boost is turned up that it also affects the volume of the CLRs. I am wondering if it only affects the monitor out and not the direct out. I am also wondering if the power boost is on if it can cause clipping while being played loud.

When I set up 2 active CLRs in stereo with the monitor and direct outs the volume is louder on the monitor out side. I set monitor out to left and direct out to right. I switched speakers but that is not the issue. Everything works fine if I go monitor out to a CLR and then link to the second CLR, the volumes are the same but it is not in stereo. I am judging by having both the monitor and direct outs at the same output levels. Should having the same levels out be the same volume?

I had a show last night and found out right before we were to play about the bug about outputs not automatically loading. This really needs to be addressed. All we had was line check and I did not have a lot of time to figure out there was a bug which was very stressful for a few minutes!!!
