Joe, that rhythm tone is absolutely killer! You have a good thing going there so keep it rolling!

Well done! Nice thick guitar tones throughout and catchy vocals/lyrics/melody.

Nice job! The links work here in South Dakota, USA. Love the stoner stuff especially! Keep up the great work.

MuddySludge Nice! Look forward to hearing some recordings with that beauty!

lespauled Agree 100% with the visual and that is what as off putting to me as the sound. Its one thing to sound a certain way but yeah, the wardrobe is a step too far. If they ditched that I think they would gain more respect.
Just don't look...listen! Lol

Ok, I admit, until now I was repulsed by Greta Van Fleet. How dare these young kids steal from the Gods of Rock in such a blatantly obvious way! But...I just watched the entire Live at Red Rocks and I came to realize these kids can play. I mean really play. And then I looked at it this way....everyone keeps saying rock as we knew it in the 60's and 70's is dead. Well, these guys are bringing it back in a huge way to a whole new generation of kids who will now feel what we felt back then. I am now a fan of Greta Van Fleet. There, I said it.

Sollazzon LMAO...I wish you the best of luck with Santa this year! Man, that Justin Johnson is some great stuff...your fiddle will be perfect for that for sure. But, throw in a little old glam for me as well

Sollazzon Sounds great! Makes me want to play some old Cinderella...lol

deadman42 Chris Duncan Franjoe30 Thank you all for the kind words! Chris that is very cool that you know of the studio. I think Gary has recently moved to a new location nearby but not sure. I hope to get to Dallas next year and stop in for a visit. Ironically, I was there on business last year and stayed probably a mile from there but before I was introduced to Gary.
Thanks again to all for taking the time to give this a listen!

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement on this forum. It is a friendly place compared to most of the social media world. Yes, it feels great, yet Im looking more forward to doing it right the second time! 5 new song demos complete. Hoping for late spring

It only took me 49 years....many of you have heard some of these songs in various forms, all featuring Bert Meulendijk Friedman profiles. The first 10 songs were mixed and mastered by the amazing Gary Long at Nomad Studio in Carrollton TX. If any of you want final touches, mastering or mixing done, Gary is your guy. If he could muddle through my heap of shit he can do pretty much anything!! Lol Contact Gary at [email protected]. Thanks for checking it out!!

Nice! It does indeed sound huge! Love that main guitar riff. Great old school metal feel which is right up my alley!
-
"I think it sounds fine."....uhm, yeah, sounds killer!
-
Very nice! I like the break around 1:15 with the cool sound effects.

Nice!! As monkey_man pointed out, great to see the new pickup configuration. First bass I started on back in '78. Then went to my dad's Fender Jazz and I remember thinking as a kid that neck looked and felt like it was a mile long compared to that Mustang....LOL. Great score man!

As above, this would make a great movie soundtrack. I dint get an angry feel. I actually found it more uplifting. And I hope all is well with your son! Well done!
-
Monkey_Man That makes me feel good brother. Thanks!

Appreciate the feedback gentlemen! Monkey_Man Yes, Gary sends my bass profile on this and a couple others through a Sansamp to dirty it up. On some of my songs, including the last one I posted, "Song to Sing", I used a heavily distorted Ampeg profile already so he did not have to do it. Gary and I are on the same page as far as going for that Kings X tone on the bass....now if I could only sing like Dug!!! lol
