There is really no science behind it. MacOS folder just contain files for MacOS and the rest is for Windows. If you use Windows just ignore MacOS folder.
From MixMasterMike's response I am guessing the "fancy" rig pack files are ZIP files that are made using a Mac OS. So the Mac OS adds the _MacOSX folder with metadata files for each rig in the ZIP file.
I only use PC so I had no idea where these files came from. I could only assume they were from Macs. -
Did you download and read Main Manual 8.5? The big one, not the brochure that comes with the KPA.

... Which I am fine with (prefer) but am confused why there are these fancy rig pack files......
What you mean with " fancy rig pack files"?
-
Download Main Manual 8.5, Table of Contents 1st. page, see last but one item "OUTPUT/MASTER Button, page 30" and read
-
and I have to hard wire to the router? Or a PC?
Please bear in mind that functionality of PC version of Rig Manager is by far bigger then iPad version. There is quite good description in Main Manual 8.5, see chapter Rig Manager.
-
Please tell me how to set this up? Is it an "effect" what is it called?
Main Manusl 8.5 - Table of Contents - Rig Settings - Transpose

Download Main Manual 8.5 from the Kemper web and read chapter Performance Mode, page 283.

Why not to download Main Manual 8.5 and read it 1st?

While not a big deal, a white powered version would require a model-specific backplate. They'd never slap on a white front with a black back. So, new part number.
Adding another SKU involves more than just parts. Inventory maintenance, distribution and most of all - people wanting them. That last one is why I think white has only ever appeared on the Toaster. White was the original color available. That I know of, it has never been available for the Rack, either. I'd be surprised if the ratio of black to white sold was less than 10 to 1. I'd guess the sale of unpowered to powered is similar.
So - a color bought in comparatively low numbers added to a unit also sold in lower numbers. Makes sense to me why they don't offer it. It's pretty much the definition of niche.Exactly! Thanks!

In this case what you are saying makes no sense. They already make a white non powered head. They simply need to add a faceplate to a powered head (which they already have) or a power section to a white non powered head (which they already have). The rack scenario could be a little different but again, not much of a difference. Instead of ordering 10K green faceplates order 7K green and 3K white. The same could be said for tolex. If there is a volume cost difference I am sure that can be sorted out and not much of a cost difference.
Let's put it very simple: more part numbers = more costs and no additional profit!

In my view answer is very simple: higher costs (more part numbers, material, stock management etc.) and zero additional profit!

Not sure what you mean with "effects buttons". But I would recommend to download Kemper Main Manual 8.5 + Addendum 8.6. You will find tons of important info there. The Quick Start manual is good for very 1st days with Kemper only

Hi, I use a Profiler Power Head, I could not find the setting under Global you suggested?
If you use Head with Remote than see Main Manual 8.5, Profiler Remote, Remote settings, page 297.
-
But it is clear to me, that while Main Manual +Addendum are both great source of information the Rig Manager Manual is quite outdated and in my view complete revision is desperatly needed!!! Also some sort of " Best practice guide" as is known in IT industry would be extremely helpfull!

This discussion seems to me a bit crazy! Let people use and prefer what they want: on one side there are gutarist who can not live without 100s fx on other side are guitarist who swear on pure amp sound and between those poles are other guitarist who just use what sounds good for the music they are playing ...
-
That is interesting! I am big fan of reading manuals but I can not find this info neither in Main Manual nor in Rig Manager Manual. Can you point me to the right direction?
-
Thanks, but I can't make it works. I connected everything good but it doesn't appear that small "c". It supposed that this process will be automatically, right? So I shouldn't do anything at System Settings...?
I don't have my own experience with midi & kemper. Just wanted to point you to the resource where I would go 1st if in your situation. If your setup doesn't work according to the manual maybe somebody who is using midi & kemper (or support) should help you. Hope you will solve it!
