From the mbritt faq: "Beginning with Kemper firmware 7.0, the file types of Kemper rigs changed from .kipr to .krig. To import .kipr files into a Kemper that is already updated to 7.0 or higher, you will need to import the files into your Rig Manager's "Local Library", which automatically converts the file type to .krig. You can then drag/copy onto your Kemper within Rig Manager."

Good question! I would like to know as well
-
Did you read Main Manual 8.5? Esp. chapter about back panel!
-
Awesome. Thank you. Yes the overall Kemper manual is the key as the Stage manual is only 20 some pages and is very neutered.
Thank you
Just to be precise: what you call "Stage manual" is in fact "Profiler Quick Start for Stage" and "Overall Kemper manual" is "Main Manual". In my view it is absolutely necessary for every Kemper user to download and read repeatedly Main Manual!

Very good wish list!

Hi vjelen, but you still have to just use your ears and make adjustments right?
Yes
-
I am using Rig Volume to balance volume of rigs in particular performance.

Comment fait on pour rendre compatibles les fichiers KIPR ? car sur les sites on en trouve beaucoup en téléchargement
Maybe if you ask your questions in english you will receive more and also more relevant answers! Other option is to go to the french part of the forum.

In your case Monitor Cab Off must be ON (i.e. ticked)!
-
With every new release there is changelog available with the description what is new, changed etc. However I didn't remember any changes to profiling algorhythm in the last 2 years.

You mean Speaker out, its a powered rack.
To me it is either:
An output setting
Profiles issue
I wouldn't try changing E.Q. significantly. The reason I say profile issue is because profiles all sound different through different monitoring solutions. Also the Kones for me are "brighter" rather than more "muffled" sound, even with bass boost so I suspect an output setting.
Are you saying the Kones sound more muffled than the original speakers in the Laney? I can tell you from experience, guitar cabs cover duff profiles. So I would also suggest trying a few other profiles to ensure you have tuned your profiles based upon the original laney..
Yes sorry, I have Stage so I automaticaly wrote Monitor Out
-
Maybe this is obvious but since you didn't indicate what is your basic settings, here we go:
- your cabinet should be connected to MONITOR OUT
- output settings for monitor out is MASTER MONO
- KONE must be enabled in OUTPUT section
- and than it is up to you if you want to use Kone imprint mode (Monitor Cab Off enabled) or FRFR mode i.e. cabinet from the profile (Monitor Cab Off disabled)
- there are also other settings that can help - described in the Main Manual 8.5, chapter KEMPER Kone, starting from page 95.
I hope this helps.

Hi Vjelen,
Thank you for your reply. I am not presently at my Kemper and laptop. However, if I am following you correctly…wouldn’t that only change the Rig “tag” information?I may be missing something. If I change any of the rig tagging information, I presume that I will be presented with a highlighted “Store” button at the bottom of screen…which brings me right back to square one. That is to say, if I then go ahead and click “Store”, Rig Manager is now going to overwrite and replace the original rig with this new, changed name rig. I don’t want that to happen. I want the original rig to remain unaltered while also having made a newly edited and renamed rig.
I am tagging Burkhard so that he might read and help out in this matter.
Cheers,John
It was just an idea which I am not able to verify, since I have no access to my Kemper now. Maybe you are right, just try it when you will be able to do it.

What if you change the rig name in the upper right side of the screen and then just save it?

Global settings: Switch Up&Down
Main Manual 8.5, System Settings, page 278
-
Did you read Main Manual 8.5, Performance Mode, page 284?
-
This is what Rig Volume is for.

Did you read Main Manual 8.5 page 284 "Performance Mode"? Whole procedure is described there.
