Do I need to reset my FF800 preferred sync reference setting when not recording via SPIDIF?

    One question? In the FF mixer I had to change the FF800 preferred sync
    reference setting to Spidif in in order to make my Kemper amp the
    master when recording into my DAW(samplitude) PRO X


    Do I need to change it back to "word clock" if I am not recording with the Kemper but doing vocals or recording midi. (The RME FIREFACE preferred sync
    reference setting I am referring to)...don't want to mess with those midi settings as I have had big midi problems in the past.
