Since two weeks I own a Shure SM7B - and like it very much.
Ok it's honeymoon - but I love it.

What about some freebie profiles?
Agreed, it's a great mic! Although I still seem to gravitate towards the 57 on my profiles. I guess I'm just used to the sound, nothing else sounds "right".

A single SM57 sounds to much like a miked amp for me - and that is not the sound I am after.
The SM57 and R121 at the same time works for me.
That's the great thing with the KPA - we can use what we like.
I always thought it was a mainly a rock vocal mic with some ability on certain drums.

I've always liked the SM57 and MD421 combination.

Yeah, I'm a bit different. I try to make profiles that sound good in a full mix without post eq, not necessarily how the amp sounds in the room at all.

That's the Thriller microphone, so you know it's got a better use than miking a guitar cab
