I own this guitar since 2006 - and while I like the features I hated the faint noise the inbuilt booster creates....
Today I made the guitar switchable passive (no booster) and active (stock mode).
Wow - I now have a new guitar for a few bucks.

Armin, do you have a schematic of what you did? I have the same guitar and I'd be interested in doing the same. Sonically how different and what improvements do you see?
You'll find some schematics in the internet.
I replaced the volume pot with a Fender S1 pot/switch (250KOhm).
Worked some hours and ... got some terrible internal feedback - then I added a 30KOhm parallel to the 250KOhm (only for booster = active).
Now all is fine.
The active sound is the same as before and the passive one is passive
Some kind of 50' sound - but noiseless - which I like a lot.
Just getting back to this. I'll try this oner Xmas break with some time on my hands. Thanks in advance!
