I hear how some of you have test it with music (i.e. and iPod). What is a good cable to use to hook them up? Thanks in advance!

You sacrifice stereo this way of course, but you need to use a mini TRS to TRS cable.
If you want to use 2 CLR'S you should use a mini TRS to 2 mono TS cables.
-
Hey Ingolf,
did you by any chance mean "a mini TRS to TS cable"?
As far as I see on the charts, the jack input on the CLR is unbalanced. A TRS to TS cable, where T and R are shorten-circuited on the T, would at least sum the two channels (as in a mono radio).
Am I missing something?
Cheers

I think you're right...

The 1/4" inputs on the CLR are balanced (TRS) jacks. Just as with the XLRs, you can send them an unbalanced signal.
Mixing the stereo outputs of an Ipod or similar to mono should not be done to a single balanced input, however, as this will subtract one channel from the other.

Thanks Mr. Mitchell. On the Atomic site I read "¼ (unbalanced)" as regards inputs...
On a side note, since we are at it: on the same page they describe the loudspeakers set as "coaxial", which seem a bit hasty according to what you write here. Would you comment this?
Thanks for your time -
He writes it "does not use a coaxial assembly OF THE SAME SORT"!
-
I have been developing coaxial loudspeakers for three decades, and I have not once used a combined woofer/tweeter assembly. If your concept of a "coaxial" loudspeaker is limited to those which use such combined assemblies, then you do not fully understand the meaning of the term.

The table is in error. Both 1/4" and XLR inputs are balanced. I'll mention to Tom that he should have the error corrected.
