How to protect your precious rigs and presets

  • Some artists have asked for advice on how to prevent unauthorized copying of their signature rigs and presets, which is especially of concern when touring, for instance.

One simple way to secure content is to use a standard USB lock, like the one in this link:

By using an USB-lock such as this, you can prevent anyone else initiating an unauthorized export or backup of your content. To avoid mechanical damage of the USB connector, you might need to disconnect the USB lock before putting your ProfilerHead into a bag or hard case.

Kemper Profiler Head and PowerHead hardware can be protected against theft by using a standard laptop lock, also offered by Kensington and others. You can find the connector on the backplate beside the S/PDIF connectors.
