I just received a pre owned rack today and it will not recognize a USB stick. I tried 3, all correctly formatted and nothing occurs when inserted. It seems that this is not the first time this has occurred. Is there a fix?

What size stick are you using - I'be heard that larger capacity ones don't work that well (or at all).
I use a 4 gig one which is plenty big enough and it's fine.
Just be patient with it, mine is the same way. You may need to reinsert the stick up to 15 times before it recognizes it. PITA.
Insert stick, wait 10-15 seconds, if nothing happens, unplug, repeat.
You could also just install the 2.3 firmware and load the profiles through Rig Manager which is a lot more convenient.
Hi there,
could you please name me the brand & type of the failing USB sticks? I'll try to get hold of the same type and try to reproduce.

Hi
I'm using an 8 GB HP USB stick. I have 2 and neither work.
Thanks in advance for the effort.

How do you update via rig manager? Connect KPA directly to computer?

FW-update via RigManager is not possible (yet).

eeh.. that's maybe a bit too generic for me to reproduce. If you've tested with 2 of the same sticks, maybe the KPA has problem with that particular USB stick model. Maybe you can test with another USB stick model ?

They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. The fix for the USB issue is to go a little insane.
FIXED!!!! I went out and bought a new drive.. Thanks for the help.

This is false. I am using a micro USB 16GB thumb drive and it works perfectly.....actually much better than the previous 4 gig units I had with my last Kemper.
