How to export "slots" from a PERFORM mode.

First thing to note is that Browse mode and performance mode are totally independent from each other.
So actually when you are editing one or two slots in a performance you only need to save the performance. The rigs and FX in a performance are stored in the performance.
If you wish to use a rig from performance mode in another context you can store the rig to the browse pool.
This is a submenu you can find in performance mode.

First you need to store the rig to the browse pool, then save to USB.

I cannot find this submenu in Performance mode.

It is in the RIG menu. When in Performance Mode hit the RIG button, find the "Store to Pool" Soft Button. Done.

how come rig manager doesn't show me the performance mode names I've stored them under?

The renaming the Slots in Performances does not alter the rigs name that are stored in the Performance. You can press RIG and rename the rigs in your performance to match the Slot names.

At NAMM, they were showing a concept version of Rig Manager that will also include some kind of Performance Manager functions. So, there will eventually be a more seamless method of doing this.

I have to reiterate that you guys are terrific at helping people out with their questions. In light of that, I understand the RTM emphasis which is true and not said to be condescending by any means but I use these repeated questions almost like studying for a test. It refreshes my memory on things I have already read in the manual over and over and still don't remember because some it isn't used that often.

You are entirely correct - the RTM suggestions keep coming, because that is typically faster than asking online.

I think RTM is better called DASITM, "Do a Search in the Manual". Or, a STF. "Search the Forum".

I don't want to rename the performance modes to match the slots or visa versa. I want to be able to select whatever names I want in performance mode and not have them show up as the same name as the rig in the rig manager.

The way it currently works seems like a huge headache for attempting to build performance modules and to figure out what your offline files are. Other than date, I have no clue which rigs are performance rigs.

Are you saying that if I restore one of the backed up rigs that is associated with performance data, it will generate the corrosponding performance data module even though it doesn't show up in rig manager?

Hmm, looking through the data I saved after storing the performance module to a rig slot and backing that up in rig manager, i opened the binary rig data in a binary editor and don't see any information about the performance module name

You won't see any Performance data in an exported rig, because it has been exported out of a Performance Slot into a freestanding rig.

So there's no way to manage then other than raw backups to thumbdrives? Seems like a pretty big inconvenience. How do folks manage their performance rigs then?

Well, for me, in Performance mode on the profiler. Copy and Paste are your friends.
