I have a Kemper rack and am awaiting a power rack version to compliment it.
I'm fairly certain this will work fine, but thought I would run it by you guys in case I've overlooked something in my signal path/routing for recording and reamping two KPAs at once.
Here's my plan...tell me if I've missed something:
For initial recording:
KPA power rack-----2x12 cab in control room (just to have some volume hitting the pickups for a more live sound)
KPA power rack-----sending dry/direct ANALOG signal to input of KPA #2
KPA power rack-----main out into Pro Tools
KPA #2----------------receiving direct out from KPA power rack and sending main out to Pro tools input.
KPA#2-----------------sending dry/direct out via spdif to Pro Tools input
Seems like this is the best way to record two amps with one take AND still have the direct signal recorded in case I want to reamp the same take later.
Am I missing something or is this what you would do?
thanks,
Steve
