Strange issue with 4 cable method

  • I just got my KPA. So far I really like it. Using the rigs and disabling the CAB into my Mark V sounds really good. I really want to use the 4 cable method though, so that I can use my amp which i love and the amp profiles as well. This has always worked great with my GSP1101 and Axe-FX Ultra. I have this setup on the Kemper and have the Stack disabled and a loop inserted into the chain. Everything works as expected except that there is a strange (and I'm not sure how to accurately describe it), noise that occurs that kind of sounds like a fast heartbeat when playing distorted lead tones. It is very annoying.

    Anyone have any similar experience?

  • IIRC the KPA offers three kinds of loops: mono loop, stereo loop and distortion loop (or a similar name). Which one do you use and which slot (A-D, X, Mod)?
