Backup erase and Reinstall software, is it safe? Never done that before. will everything be right?

I have to send my Kemper profiler for repair but I have many home made profiles and other profiles i paid for. Dont want anyone to copy them. The music store I bought the kemper told me they can send it to a local repair.

In this case, a backup is the perfect thing to do. Make sure, that you copy the backup over to your computer (as a safe, second place) and check if it is okay.
