Hi!
just tried to do a profile of my Engl through my DAW with a plugin that uses impulse responses of almost Every Cab and mic setup worth mentioning. And that through a neve preamp EQ impulse response. That way i could use my studio headphones as monitor and really crank the tubes in the Engl.
Anyone tried this? The result was quite impressing. Now I will test the new profile at next rehearsal. I wasnt sure this would sound any good. But so far so good.

Did you crank the preamp tubes, and do a DI out?

Well yes, I cranked the pre-amp amp tubes. Then I took the send from the amp to my interface and through the plugin and then back to kemper return. That way i thought I would eliminate the problem of very loud vol from the cab. And I could use the IRs i'm used to when re-amping old fashion way. But know I seem to have my sound on records in my Kemper for live use....
