Yep, I tweak the internal stuff after I tweak the main EQ. I would definitely start there, then change some of the other parameters. However, once you know what the other parameters do, you may want to tweak them because you know that they will change the sound a certain way (that is different from using the EQ).

Yea I'm fine with the basic EQ, I've had some success with the definition and clarity parameter, as well as lowering the gain (blasphemy!!!
). I've also added compression to the track in Logic, which seemed to help.I've just bounced the new one from the distorted guitars, the old one starts with distortion at 2.30. I think it's much better.

The new one definitely sounds much closer to what you are going for. It's good. Did you end up using the treble booster instead of a Green Scream?

Yeah, a treble booster doesn't always work on all profiles. I'm sure if I messed with it some more I could get some good sounds out of it, but I tend to get that same result when I use it.

Just listened. For something like this, I wouldn't quad-track. I'd probably just pan the guitars around 50% L and R. And maybe pull back a bit on the reverb

I couldn't see any use in quad tracking for this track, that's what I wanted to say.
Double tracking would suffice to get bigness. And don't forget the bass guitar.
