Kemper - max number of rigs?

  • I read somewhere that you should not import more than 1000 rigs into the Kemper..... what?

In all my Kempers I've had, (I'm on the fourth now) can only hold about something like 200 rigs or so before I get the error message saying "not all rigs where imported due to lack of space blabla".

What is wrong with this picture? Is there some magic trick I should know?

    Thanks

  • the "blabla" shows the reason. You can also have damaged rig files in your USB "Shared" folder, those won't be imported, too. The message does (unfortunately) not differentiate the exact reasons why something wasn't imported.

  • I have no damaged files. I import the rigs in numbers anywhere from 1 rig to maybe a dozen at the time. When it's full, I cannot get any more rigs inside, no matter which ones I try, and no matter if it's the only rig in the shared folder. It's just full. But I'm nowhere near 800 and I have the last firmware. I'm going to check right now how many I can squeeze in.

Presets and cab profiles also take up space. That might have something to do with it.

  • To me 1000 is not enough I only wish we could have all the profiles available on the kemper and then you would have 6000 profiles in order of gain, author or what ever , you can then scroll through the profiles and select what you need to fit your music needs. I have always had my kemper at max rigs 1000 and if I want to import some new rigs I have to delete some from my saved rigs to allow space.

  • I don't have any separate cab profiles. I checked yesterday, and I had just 92 rigs right now. But I have recently deleted everything and put some back in one by one, just because they didn't all fit. And I'm sure I don't have 1000 profiles in my PC folders. I have just the profiles of maybe a dozen amps, and they are usually about 20-30 profiles per amp.

  • You can also have an additional 625 rigs in Performance Mode[quote]

I am a bit confused about this Paults says there are 625 slots in performance mode but the cast is with a FCB 1010 midi foot controller you can only access 0 - 09 groups of 10. My foot controller when it gets to 09 then goes to 00 so the max slots I can access from my foot controller is 100 . So can the FCB1010 be changed to access the other slots as I see if you use the Type knob you can scroll thru 125 performance modes which means there would be 125 x 10 slots = 1250 slots
Is it possible with the new Kemper floor board to access all 125 slots.

If you have imported any profile pack that include cabs you may have them and not know it.

What is your boot up time?

I would contact support as you should be able to hold 1000.
