Just received my Remote today and all is not going well........ When trying to load a rig into one of the 5 slots I'm having to go through the process several times before it will display the correct name in the slot. However, once I've got the name displaying correctly it's then a lottery as to whether the name pertains to the actual rig or not. I've just set up a performance where all slots are displaying what they should, but slots 1-3 are displaying "Crunch" in the main display (same on the KPA), and are also activating "Crunch" when pressed. Only slots 4+5 are actually playing, and displaying correctly in the main header. Any ideas anyone?

what FW are you running on the KPA? There was an issue in a previous FW where this would happen but this was fixed
-
Currently on 3.1.1.11316b. I did try to update but the Kemper doesn't read the data stick on start up so I gave up on that side of things.

Re- format your USB or use another one.
You should definitely update to 3.14 -
I'll try doing that now

Formatting made no difference. I'm beginning to think that my KPA is faulty. I had an issue some weeks back where it announced that files were corrupt upon start-up, and then it performed some self-diagnostic test and appeared to remedy the problem. Is there a way to force an update seeing as it's refusing to look automatically?

You can force an update when putting the kaos file in the root directory of the stick.
Then power up the KPA while keeping the < > buttons pressed. -
Thanks Ingolf. That has certainly got it moving. It's just updating now, so fingers crossed the slot problem will be sorted

Thanks both. Looks like the update has sorted my troubles out. Just created a test performance and everything seemed to go correctly. Much appreciated

You're welcome!

Glad it's sorted
