Recording and Backingtrack Situation with my Kemper

  • Hey Guy´s,

    i recently bought me an Interface (Steinberg UR22) for Recording and hooking a Backingtrack up while noodling around.

    But now i have basicly no clue how to setup this whole stuff.

    My Idea was to record me while i listen a backingtrack AND my Amp at the same time over Headphones:

    Signalchain:
    Guitar->Kemper->Interface-> DAW
    and
    PC->Backingtrack->Interface (Set Mix to 40%)->Headphone

    But: If i understood that thingy right, i need to go out of my Kemper in Stereo wich requiers 2 Slots and leaves no space for my PC Kable to get the Backign track running.

    Could someone give me a shot for get this running?

  • I'm playing with backing tracks as long as I remember. Your chain looks ok. Guitar-> Kemper-> Interface->DAW. You don't need to go out stereo out of Kemper but it's useful.

    Have you tried it already?

  • If you play backing tracks from PC , you just set up your pc audio output to SteinbergerUR22 , and you get backing tracks over USB . That leaves your left & right input interface for your Kemper...Your Headphones need to be plugged in the Steinberger
