Monitor Out - FX loop return Blackstar HT 40 = no sound

    Hi everybody,


    I have a Blackstar HT 40 combo and I wanted to use it as a monitor. As per instructions manual I have connected the Monitor Out to the return on the amp FX loop. Have chosen "Monitor Cab off" in the page of the OUTPUT menu. but nothing is happening! No sound comes out out the amp's speaker. I have tried everything on the Kemper in the OUTPUT menu without success.


    Have some of you had the same issue? what should I try to make it work?

    Yes, I've read it and tried. Unfortunately it doesn't work! I guess there must be something with the fX loop of Blackstar amps!


    Is there anyone in the community who has the same experience?

    Does the Output LED react when you play? And of course the Monitor volume is not at zero, is it?
    Last, check whether the Blackstar has got some switch (maybe in the back) for activating the loop. On some amps it can be excluded. There might also be a volume for the loop.

    So, the outcome is:


    1 - Yes, in the input of the amp it works (but of course I'm not gonna use it like that)
    2 - No switches for the fx loop
    3 - Volumes where on
    4 - The loop itself works, have tried using a pedal delay.


    So, I am afraid (almost sure now) that that solution of using the speaker of an amp using the return of the fx loop, does not work with all the amps! Or al least, fit does not work with Blackstar amps (considering that another user reported the same issue in the forum)


    Maybe it is worth to mention it in the manual


    Please let me know if you get any idea on how to make this work!

    This would be worth mentioning not in the Profiler's manual, but in the Blackstar's.
    BTW some amps need a dummy loop closed to work properly.
    Plug a TS plug into the send jack of your Blackstar while plugging the Profiler's output into the Blackstar's return jack.
    Do you get sound now?
    I know that @viabcroce has suggested trying this above but I'm not sure you got him right.
    Again: Plug any TS plug into the Blackstar's send and the Profiler's output into the Blackstar's return.
    If this doesn't work I think your amp's loop is broken.
