Amp and Kemper together anyone?

  • So my live rig has been a Kemper and DXR10 for a long time now, and I'm shortly going to upgrade it with the very new & sexy Matrix FR12.
BUT............I have just stumbled upon a Marshall Silver Jubilee combo nearby of sale and I'm going to grab it. The Jubilee has been a grail amp since I walked into a little guitar shop called Amen Corner in Bracknell back in 1987 and saw these silver beasts for the first time.
I've always wanted one, but never owned one for a wide range of reasons.
But here's my chance of a 50w combo in pretty decent condition and I simply must have it!!!

Is anyone running both amp & Kemper together in a live rig?
An suggestions on how I could make decent use of both?

I'm kinda thinking of maybe having an A/B/Y switch to switch between the Kemper and the Jube to use that as my lead solo tone.
    Thoughts?

  • Might be a bit unromantic, but why not just profile the Marshall and use it through your Kemper? ^^
Other than that, you could think of running a dual-amp setup.
So you have the Marshall-Sound + Kemper at the same time.
    Could be Distorted + Clean.
    Or Marshall + Mesa
    etc.

  • The Silver beast is a great amp. If you want it, get it!

If you use FRFR the benefit of a merged profile is that the cabinet is totally separated in the profile.
