Hey all. Just picked up a Kemper and can record with Ableton 9 using 1/4 cables, but want to try the SPDIF connection to see if I like it better. I can hear the Kemper using the SPDIF connect using the Focusrite audio interface mixer software, but can't get any sound inside Abelton using SPDIF. Anyone know how to record with Kemper using SPDIF connection in Ableton 9? Thanks.
Using SPDIF and Ableton Live 9 ?

Which interface precisely?
My Saffire Pro 14 outputs the SPDIF on channels 5/6 IIRC.
Check your interface manual. -
Thanks Ingolf. I'm using a Focusrite Saffire Pro 26. I checked the manual and it's 7/8. I was trying 1/2. 7/8 works! Thanks!

make sure that your forcusrite saffire pro 26 is the slave and not the master, in other words, you have to change the internal clock from internal to spdif, and make sure your session is in 44.1 cause that's all kemper can handle right now. set the output to git/studio.

Would I have to change it back if i want to record keyboards? How would it effect the sound if I don't change the Focusrite to slave? I started to record some scratch tracks and did hear some very little crackling every few seconds, so I went back to 1/4 cables. I'm thinking I just had the Kemper output signal too high. I'm going to try SPDIF again today. My session is 44.1K. What's the output of git/studio do? Thanks.
