Has someone saved all the cabs from the Profiles?
If yes, can you share them with us?
Thanks

i did not save all the cabs, but the ones i liked. Many of the factory rigs share the same cabs, like the steavens. I used the following way to find my favorites:
1. deactivate stomp section -> lock
2. deactivate effects section -> lock
3. select a rig that u like
4. select amp -> lock
5. select eq -> lock
That way you can browse through all rigs and check find out which cabs you like best and save them. I ended up in 10 to 15 cabs.
Dumb question.
How do we export cabs to a USB stick?

You cant. Just make a complete backup and copy the backup file to your pc. Use a software like total commander to open the backup files and copy everything you like out of it. Do NOT edit the single profile files in any way though.

make a backup and then on the PC use something like Total Commander or SimplyZip to open the backup file and decompress the "cabs" folder. If you then save it in the "shared" folder on the USB, it can be imported by the Kemper
Edit: Tyler was quicker...
Thanks guys.
It's not for me, I want to make a Zip of all the current cabs we've 'collected' for our USA friends, so that when they get their Kempers they can just Import all the cabs...after all, the Cabs are one of the most important parts of the 'tone' equation.
Trust me they're going to moan like crazy when they don't find the cabs already loaded into the cab section.
OK, so where do I get Total Commander and how do I use it?
That's a good idea, Grorig has put order in the profiles, you could include the cabs in the same file
So now I need to hunt down Grorig, anyone have his home address for me?

hmmm somehow it is not working.... when i look at the cabs folder in the backup file there are only those cabs that have been manually saved from the rig in the kpa before.
thought i could now extract the cabs from the rigs in the backup on the computer easily?!
ps: used zipeg for mac to extract

I mean: first save the cabs manually, then make a backup. At Kemper they are working on a feature that will automatically save the single components (including fx, eq...everything) of a Rig, but in the moment you still need to do it manually.
Yeah, same here. Maybe it's a Mac thing. BTW if you rename the backup file to .tar you can double click it to open.
ok will try it with (COUGH!) parallels (COUGH!!!) later

No, the backup function only copies all single files present on your KPAs flash memory. There is no possibility to extract the cab from the rig offline. You can only save the cabs on the KPA by accessing the rigs, selecting the cab and using the store function. As far as i remeber the kemper guys might implement a function to get a little more comfort here.
Btw, i found a backline rental who have a mesa recto 4 x 12 available. If all works out nicely, expect some new cab profiles next weekend

When I try this I can save them alright but the names don't appear on the screen, just the dials and alphabet, so it seems I have to name them all before saving?
tyler, could you make some pics how you mic up the cab?
Ok, very easy.
Change the backup file to .rar...double click and extract the cab files.
Here are mine.
Keep in mind, we might have some of the same cabs, but we've all given them different names when we saved them...I try to use the details given to us by the guy who made the profiles, he explains what cab/speakers/mic's he used, that's how I try and name the cab.
Should I sell this file to the guys from the USA? (Till's, the cheques in the post )....nah, I love the USA guys because they're soon gonna be Kemperized and part of our team.

I already did that to be able to nearly replicate the settings after the mesa session.

Look very forward to your Mesa cabs, Till's...your cabs take the KPA to another level.
