Line 6 m9 as (temporary) footswitch

  • Hello! I was looking around and saw that some people were using their line 6 m9's/13's to control the kemper's profiles. I did some research, but didn't find too much in the line 6 manual or on these forums in terms of how to do so. Does anybody have experience with this that would be willing to help if there is a fairly easy explanation?

I only need to program 4 different profiles in a single performance.

    Thanks in advance! :)

    Mike.

  • This is only possible via MIDI. Connect the M9's Midi Out with the KPA's Midi In. Set both devices on the same Midi channel. I don't know the M9 enough to give further advice but on the KPA side you can dial in which incoming PC# should call up a certain rig.

I could have farted and it would have sounded good! (Brian Johnson)

  • Cool! I have both of them on the same channel, but I'm trying to figure out how to assign the foot switches on the m9 to get programmed to change the rigs in a performance.
