I run out of the right XLR microphone cable that I have my finger pointing in the picture, to the board/PA…
I don't understand where I should have the sources set… Master mono? Master stereo? etc. etc. etc.
Sometimes we use in ear monitors and other nights I use 4×12 Bogner as my monitor… when we use IEM, then obviously I get the exact feed from the board, and I am a little doubtful that I have things set up right because when I plug my IEM directly into Kemper headphone jack, my tone is different (better) than when it goes to board and back to my in ear monitors… my channel on PA/board is set completely flat.
Where should I have all the outputs set on screen in picture?
(I have read through all manuals, but I don't understand all the technical terms)

I send one XLR signal to the FOH, too. Master Mono is what I use, too.
Depending on what kind of sounds you use, Headphones may sound different because of stereo Reverb/Delay.

I usually use a DXR10 onstage - we also play some "in ear gigs".
If you are hearing the whole mix through your headphones, the guitar will sound different than connecting the headphones directly to the KPA, even if the KPA EQ is flat on the mixing board. The other instruments are likely to mask some of the guitar low end, or make it sound muddy. The vocals and keyboards may change the relative sound of the midrange.

Ahhhh, yes, I see what you mean… For 25 years I used two 4×12 cabinets as my monitors on stage, so this whole 'in ear monitor' thing has thrown my brain for a real twist, Paul
I should have my Ultimate Ears UE7's next week… I am hoping they will change what I am hearing compared to these cheap Shure 215's I have been using!! -
I used to use a stereo pair of 4x12 cabinets, too. In ear monitors are a completely different world
they are more like listening to a live radio broadcast of your band, using your phone. -

No, the Profiler will take control and set the signal of the Direct Out to what it needs to be during Profiling.

The board that you’re coming out of to send your signal back to your ears can have an effect on the tone too. Different boards, preamps, etc., can all affect the tone.
Also, I don’t know that this would make a difference but just in case, I’d use the left output if you’re running mono. Again, not sure if that’ll help, but it’s just habit (and my OCD) of always using the left for mono.

For monitor output, (running my 4×12 as monitor cabinet on stage)… Does it make any technical difference at all if I have it set at 'master left' or 'master mono'?I’d go with Master Mono.

"Master Left" would give you only the Left side of a stereo effect.
Example: if you had a 150ms Delay on the right, and a 300ms on the Left, you would hear only the 300ms Delay if you select Master Left.
If you select Master Mono, you will heat both 150ms and 300ms. -
