shortly:
1.I`ve profiled my vintage (no reissue) Ibanez TS 808 from 1980, and "kemperized" it as a rig
download at RIG EXCHANGE under: gbs*Ibanz808 stomp
2.you can use the Kemper for replacing your stompboxes (not delay, modulation fx... as you know) too
long term:
you can:
1.use it in front of an amp INSTEAD of a TS808 stompbox
2.feel free to turn the “cabinet” on/off
3.use it as a “full amp” in loading one of the cabs ( I prefer 4x12 marshalls, or 1x12 Vox e.g.), and send this to monitor speakers, fullrange P.A., FRFR, poweramp ...
now you have:
not only one 808 stompbox, but as many as YOU want – by choosing the clean channel of an amp you can use a different setting (gain, EQ...), in opposite to switching to the crunch channel for example and reduce the gain for example and so on
I will upload some variations of the 808 too, with less/more gain (overdrive), different tone settings... soon
how does it sound ?
This way you might get a clue how close (?) the kemepreized clone of the 808 may sound
btw – I did no refining, equing afterwards:
recorded live, trying to fiddle 4 times the same, twice with SM57, twice with E 906 in front of the 1x12 speaker
using singlecoil 2+3 on the first two licks, and singlecoil 3 only (bridge pickup) on the last lick

2.Fender Stratocaster – kemperized808 – Engl - 1x12 – Shure SM57
3.Fender Stratocaster – 808 – Engl - 1x12 – Sennheiser E 906
4.Fender Stratocaster – kemperized808 – Engl - 1x12 – Sennheiser E 906
please make an educated guess, what could be the original stomp 808 / the kemperized808 one ?
