XLR's less noise?

I am running 2 high end FRFR's with high quality cables but not XLR's. Just wondering if you buy higher end XLR's to connect to the house, FRFR's or for recording? If so, what brand do you opt for and do you find there is less overall noise resulting in less gating for higher gained profiles?

the longer the cable the more you will need it to be balanced. XLR in both ends or TRS in one depending on rhe mixer.
