Hi all
I've seen people use two kempers live, presumably one would be a spare in case the first one goes down for whatever reason.
I would be interested to know how such a rig would be configured particularly as regards the remote since it is easy to use a footswitch or a splitter to send the guitar signal from one unit to the other but I am clueless as to how one remote controls two units.
Advice and insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

One Remote or multiple Remotes and/or MIDI control the main Profiler. The main Profiler is connected to the backup Profiler via a MIDI cable. Please watch out for the next revision and the new feature "UI to MIDI".

So "UI to MIDI" will facilitate one direction of two way control with a MIDI device like the Profiler Remote. Is that correct, Burkhard?
-
As an aside to your question - the Remote is not a MIDI device - The Remote is a controller for the KPA that does not send or receive MIDI, and does not have MIDI connnectors on it

Thanks for the info.

The Remote(s) interact(s) with the main Profiler based on a proprietary protocol.
The main Profiler forwards many of its internal controllers to the backup Profiler via MIDI, so that that one can follow. This functionality is independent of how the main Profiler is controlled. If you for example crank up Gain on its front panel, the backup Profiler will also reflect that.
