I saw numerous threads about the quality on the stage switches being bad. Has this issue resolved? Is there a year to stay away from?

I have not heard about this or had any issues myself. They seem like they're tough as nails and could take a serious beating.

The switches on stage look to me like the same ones that are used on Remote. I'm personally blown away by quality of Stage. All rotary encoders are from awesome looking and feeling metal. It can also shine as Christmas tree, but fortunately you can control intensity / hue of many LEDs and display.

Good to know, this thread is based on some comments on TGP from the First gen models. I had a Kemper Remote in 2018 and it was solid!

The Kemper Stage footswitches are spring actuators that click on the miniature tactile switches mounted on the PCB below. It's a design known to fail over time in various units like the Line 6 DL4, M9, etc.... so we'll see how it fares over time.
