Just wondering how many Kemper users record using both the Kemper and preamps & EQ's.
I've done a good amount of recording with just my Kemper, but looking to invest in a Neve 1073DPX or something similar for use on Vocals, Bass, Guitars, Drums...
I certainly use the Neve 1073 DPX when I profile amps/cabs with microphones ... and of course for a lot of acoustic recordings. But I never use it "behind" the Profiler while tracking. I do like the EQ and also the overall color of the unit ... but if necessary, I will rather use it in the mixing stage for some final touches on a guitar bus (and/or other sources).
But for full disclosure, I very much prefer to be in the same room with the artist or band as opposed to a separate and isolated control room. I like the direct contact, communication, feedback. So I rarely make final (mixing) decisions during the recording process.
