i used only guitars with active emgs so far with the kemper..(schecter hellraiser-dean angel of death)
But today i bought a second hand bc rich retro red gunslinger with the alder body and the dimarzio super distortion pickup..
I must say...... wow the kemper came even more to life with this guitar.....absolutly a great sound...
The kemper realy sings.. 
Years ago I used to own a black gunslinger but I did a part exchange and got about 75 quid off the price of a washburn - just for an audition for a crummy HND in Music at Newcastle. Used to love the neck on it.
