KPA output impedance?

  • Hi All,

I’m using the XLR analog outs to a stereo preamp to record. That preamp allows me to vary the input impedance, anybody knows the xlr’s output impedance of the Kemper? What it should be set at? I can’t seem to be able to find the info.

    Thanks,

    Dominique

  • Humm... It seems to be affecting the XLR's also. I just did a quick test recording, repeat melodie of a jazz tune, where the only thing changing is the input impedance on my preamp. The volume did increase each time that I upped the impedance.

Chain... Me (the very weak link!) - Elferink archtop - Kemper (Henrikson Jazz Profile) analog out - stereo preamp - motu 828markIII - reaper.

    Input impedance:

    1) ± 150 ohms
    2) ± 375 ohms
    3) ± 600 ohms
    4) ± 1.8k ohms
    5) ± 3k ohms

No processing on the file. Any opinions? What should I leave the input impedance at?

  • Out of the volume I don't hear any other difference. If you want a direct answer on the output drop a mail to Support, Burkhard answers normally very quickly.
