Running Kemper through an amp

  • Hello!

I use my Kemper for rehearsal with my band, and it of course lives up to all expectations!

Now, I've hooked it up on the PA system as well as a Hot Rod Deluxe and I prefer the Hot Rod.

My question then is: are there any "dangers" - so to speak - to be wary of when connecting the Kemper to an amp? Could it damage either unit, fx?

    Thanks for your input guys!

  • If the amp has an effects loop you can go full blast through it.
If you're going through the amp's input, putting too much volume in will sound bad and could, potentially, if you really push it, be harmful to the amp - but it's going to be difficult.

Anyway, try before buying. I didn't like the KPA through an amp.

    and you pay for grace."

Roger that. I'll run it over the PA next and do it in stereo this time. That will probably be the better option.

    Thanks guys.
