Mesa 5:50 Express Amp and Power Amp for KPA

    Hi all


    some days ago I posted a comment that the sound of the MB Express 5:50 was not so great ... MMh Obviuosly a typical Mesa challenge. After some days I now have a very nice sound both clean and driven. I also use it as a power amp for my Kemper. This sounds very good, too. It is amazing when I hear the level of details from e.g. Fender amp profiles through the Mesa. Sounds like the real thing. The Mesa stays .... Goos things need time ...

    When I bought my Lonestar Special I had the opportunity to A\B them both. There's of course a difference in cost (I believe 5-600 € at the time), but the difference was like day and night: the 5:50 sounded like a radio in comparison

    I had a 5:50 briefly and found that dialing it in was a challenge, but once done it had pretty good tone, especially the cleans. Can't remember why I sold it now ...
