I have tried with a gibson sg junior this evening...
Less squealing, more natural feedback, but still not perfect...
-
Yes. But the question why this squealing not present with my tube amp?
Even at loud volume, I have feedback, it's normal, but not squealing
-
Today, I'm gonna make a video of the problem.
-
Perhaps waxpotting the pickups might help.
Sure, but I haven't this problem with my silver jubilee, even if the gain is too high, the feedback I have is natural with my tube amp.
-
I think I will try with another guitar
-
I play at rehearsal volume level, same level than my real amp.
-
With a 2x12 cab with 2 célestion v30.
But it's the same with my other cab with 2 kemper kones

Hi all!
I have a squealing issue since I have purchased my profiler, and I use plexi and jcm800 profiles, not high gain profiles.
This week, I have solved this issue by lowering the pickups of my gibson R8, mounted with custombuckers.
But this squealing issue is still on when I get closer to my cab in order to have a natural feedback.
It's the first time I have this issue with those pickups, and when I use my 50w silver jubilee clone, I haven't problem like this, even at loud volume...
It's very problematic for me to not create natural feedback...
Any advices?
Thx

Hi!
Someone know if the cpu power and rom of the kemper has increase since the first release?
I have had a profiler stage and now I have a more old powerhead, and the powerhead is very slower to browse the different menu...
Thx
-
No.
It must be something else, mate. Check the Input Section to see if your Dist Sens setting has changed.
Set to 0.
I had to set it to - 10 in order to stop the feedback

Hi!
With the last update, I have some annoying feedback on some profiles, on rehearsal with my band
Does the last update has changing the overall amount of gain?
Thx

power cabinet
It's not in the question...
-
No other advice ?!
-
I also think that the top jimi profiles are not sounding like on his video's, with my beyer 770 and with my Yamaha hs7 monitors, or with my cab and his 2 kones, always poor sounding

I believe the Baby Sumo is a Class D amp. The same fundamental technology in the Powerhead/rack. There are certainly variations in quality.
I’d honestly be shocked if the power amp was contributing much, if anything to the tone.Yes it's a class d amp.
I have compared it with a powerhead with the same profile, in a 2x12 cab with kones.
More open and less high with the powerhead. A more natural sound.

Both are good solutions and provide clean, clear power. As such, they really shouldn't sound all that different. They're both supposed to amplify your signal with as little coloration as possible.
The Camplifier doesn't require you to carry an extra item. Once mounted, it's part of the KPA.Since it is separate, the Powerstage leaves you the option to use it for other things without the KPA present.
It really comes down to which form-factor suits your needs. I personally wouldn't give any thought to which one sounds better.OK, Thx for your answer.
Actually I have a GSS baby sumo and the sound fell too boxy compared to a kemper powerhead.
For that reason I want to change, but I don't want to make mistake
I know the SD powerstage has the same power module of the powerhead, but I like the integrated version of the camplifier...

Hi!
The question is in the title!
Which one do you prefer?
Which one sound better?
Thx for advices!

I have to try to open back the cabinet...
