John, I also use an FCB and don't have this problem.
As the FCB can send multiple midi messages in a chain it could be that there are more messages sent which can cause delays in the receiving device.
For troubleshooting purposes:
1. Do you have a stock FCB or is it UnO equipped?
2. As programming the FCB is a serious PITA on the device itself highly recommend using the great editor from Gordius, the makers of the UnO chip.
http://www.lg-fcb.com/lgfcb_software.phpWith a little app like midi ox
http://www.midiox.com/
you can monitor what's going on (what's being sent) when you press a switch on your FCB.Let's go from there.

I don't like "Take That" either, hehehe...
But patience is a virtue.

A personal feature request of mine.
As delay times often have to be adjusted it would be very useful to have a tapping function available in all of the delay types. -
and a Reverse Delay would be most welcome, too!

Has Christoph even confirmed he will make a Librarian/Editor ?
Yes, he has. It's in the works.

So is CabDriver engaged when using the main outs? I thought that was the monitor out only.
No, CabDriver is only engaged when using monitor out with the 'cab off' option ticked.
And it's mono only unfortunately.
CabDriver retains a bit of the profile's cab portion incl. the Interaction poweramp - cab, whereas you'll lose this when switching off cab in the main rig.CabDriver is a genius feature IMO.

A bit sad and disappointing that he wasn't vocal of any stability/reliability issues in the forum where it would be most construvtive, i.e. here in the KPA forum.
Leaves a bad taste of 'stirring the pot', at least for me.
For the record: no stability issues here.

What im still bit unsure of is, what difference is it when the 'direct out' is 'git analog' or 'stack'....which one is best for fx loop application? Sorry i should hv more time to try and figure out but due to the live recording gig in session plus the added routing with the rack im having a hard time trying each 'direct out' modes.
You want your FX Loop for time based FX after the amp so you choose 'stack'.
'git analog' is when you want to slave through your unaltered guitar signal to another amp in order to profile it.
Also, i was right to just plug to my amp's fx loop through the 'monitor out' at 'master mono' as opposed to the 'left out' from the master right?...
.Yes, thats's correct. With using monitor out and also the 'cab off' on monitor out you enable the cabdriver and get the best results when plugging to the FX return of an amp.
Master Mono sums the Master Out to mono, otherwise you would only get left or right delay tails for example. -
My rig switch with the FCB happens instantly, without any lag.
What can we do to scrutinize this? -
Don't hold your breath, it would be a nice surprise if they get shared, but I'll believe it when I see it....
Yeah... I surely don't expect free profiles here but why not commercial ones?

So awesome, thanks Bill.
You're always an inspiration. -
I'm still waiting for the multi amp profiles Franz Plasa, a very famous German Producer especially known for his way to create guitar sounds and with with a jawdropping collection of vintage amps, did a while ago. Was on YT and on Kempers's FB Page.
-
But it has been like this (awesome) from the beginning.
No change for me during recent updates. But it's a good sign that you fall in love with your KPA again...

The way I see it, with the KPA it's a paradigm shift and a totally different approach to realistic amp tones than the one with using IR's as cab sims.
The cab portion in the KPA is embedded in the profile and in a way tied to a profile in a much more complex and realistic way than it is possible with an IR cab sim.
Therefore I think setting up the KPA without using the cab portion like intended here will take out a lot of the mojo.
But of course it can be very educating nonetheless.

I have a white one and would go for black one.
I would call them 'Ebony' and 'Ivory'...
Oh the drama.... -
After evaluating this pack this evening I must say that Andy outdoes himself with this one. Simply the best!
-
What happened with the old one - you were so proud of it
That's true, Armin, but so it goes...
Didn't feel like lugging this beast around at that time and had a good opportunity to sell and wanted a different incarnation of the AC 30 anyway...
I think at the moment we have at least 10 different AC 30's to choose from in the KPA.
Maybe I should own another KPA instead? -
Beautiful.
I miss Florence!
