Yes, the StereoWidner sounds great - but works only for stereo setups - in case you use the KPA direct into an guitar amp/cab then this has no effect.
Here is an example:

When played mono the effect is gone.

To come back to the subject...
The estimated waiting time for an AxeFx II (G66) is reduced from 4 month to 2-3 month ...
Having re-read the previous responses, I will say this: The Kemper is an amazing piece of gear - I will be testing it severely during the next two weeks. I frankly don't care what the fanbois think, nor the hopeless critiques - I just want to see what it can do tonally.
You can profile with your HC between the mic/micpreamp and KPA in case you like to get rid of unwanted fizz.
I for myself found that I get about the same fizz as the mic in front of the real amp produces - and that is what I want.
Btw. it's possible to add an EQ block in 'X' in order to get rid of any unwanted fizz or woofy low end.
When my profiles do not sound great - then I try not to fix it later but to choose another microphone or mic position ...
Today I played for a long time - pops are still there - also in normal mode - I get about 3 pops each 30 minutes.
Yes, a controller with wah and tuner would be nice.
But since the KPA's size is not standard - a Kemper stand would be great too .....
Strat into KPA (Lonestar Special Profile) - all effects KPA no mastering.
Just a test how the KPA and the organ would fit - seams to work
The KPA is great for the Studio but I need a stand and controler for live use.
Would be great if Kemper would create something that fits.
seams to work - no more pops in normal mode.
I get some pops when in any edit page - eg Amp edit page.
I got the freeze during installation of 1.05 - and pop's all few seconds.
Now I reinstalled the firmware - and no pops anymore - or so seldom that I not notice yet.
Check http://www.soundside.de/support/KPARecovery.htm
for instructions (section 'Install or reinstall the firmware')
After the installation of the firmware - the KPA SEAMS (!) to be foozen - but it will take up to a minute and then it shows the tuner.
After an additional reboot seams all to work fine - or at least much better than before.
My KPA freezed too after I tried to install 1,05.
A power cylce helped and the KPA continued updating.
I wonder if this could lead to the pop's?
Do all users see this freezing?
Was it freezing for the users without the pop's?
Not sure it's the same thing but that's what i get with my Axe-Fx when the spdif connection is not locked.
I don't use SPDIF
They all say "public beta". Are you sure "1.0.4 Public Beta" is safe?
There are the 1.0 alpha and the 1.0.x beta versions
Yes, 1.04 is the best - I use 1.05 and hope for 1.06 soon ....
btw. I use the analogue outs only - it's wrong that only spdif is affected.
Yes, latency is fixed - but now we have audio dropouts all few seconds - totally unusable for recordings - waiting for 1.06 ...
Yes, better latency - but sadly unusable now - drop out all few seconds
And be careful when switching back - all profiles are stored in a different way now.
1.0.5 works great - rig changing (up/down) is much faster now - jumps from letter A-B-C...
It feels as if the latency is faster now.
Noise gate still not able to deal with distortion and high gain amp setting+
I love the KPA for my recordings - and wonder if anybody uses the KPA live - instead of a tube amp.
I dont care about users of other modeling gear - now using the KPA live - but only about tube amp users switching now to the KPA for live usage.
EG used to play a Marshall JCM800, profiled it, use monitor xy - sounds great.
Great - the stock profiles sit very good in the mix.
