Check, if perhaps the whole Stomps Section is switched off. The Stomps Section includes the modules A-D and is represented by the STOMPS button. Check, if the STOMPS button is lit or not. If it is unlit, it's off. In that case, the buttons of modules A-D are only half lit while these are activated.

If STOMPS section and the corresponding modul are really activated (fully lit), you need to check Pedal Mode within the wah effect. Normally the wah effects follow the moves of an expression pedal, not the pot of your guitar. You can also select PEdal Mode "Touch" which makes the effect follow your playing. Details can be found in the Main Manual chapter "Wah Wah".

I guess you agree, that sending 9 Volt battery power into the input of an amp is a defect or flaw. It doesn't belong there. Please get those instruments fixed. A working condenser might fix the problem.

We don't think, the fix is on our part. The PROFILER has been working with all kinds of instruments since nearly ten years. Such an issue did never come up.

Wie gesagt, solange Du nur Rigs oder Performances zwischen zwei Locations hin- und herschiebst bzw. kopierst - in diesem Fall PROFILER A und PROFILER B - sollte es funktionieren. Dazu mußt Du ja nichts in den Puffer eines der PROFILER laden und editieren.

Our suspicion is, that this has nothing to do with AC power originated from the pickups following your playing, but that your Ibanez bass might be sending the 9 Volt DC battery power to its output as soon as its preamp gets activated even while you don't play. We don't know, if this is a hardware defect or by design, but it shouldn't be there as it would lead to noise when you plug that instrument into any input.

The same applies to that LR Braggs Lyric microphone. Perhaps something is broken and it's sending the 9 Volt battery power not just to the microphone, but to the output.

Ich denke, es hat sich bewährt, dass PROFILER-User Rigs tauschen bzw. kommerziell erwerben können und alle Eingänge, Ausgänge und Pedale zuverlässig so funktionieren, wie sie diese bei sich eingestellt haben und nicht wie es derjenige konfiguriert hatte, der das Rig/PROFIL erstellt hat. Ansonsten könnte es bei jedem Rig-Wechsel z. B. in der Rig Exchange Überraschungen geben. Das möchten wir nicht aufweichen.

Im Zweifel muß man sich dann eben zwei Rigs bauen, eins mit Morphing, eins mit Wah und zwischendurch das Rig wechseln. Wenn wir wie vorgeschlagen einen "Override" zuließen, müßte es ja auch zwei Rigs geben, eines mit Override und eines ohne.

Oder - wenn man Morphing wie in dem Beispiel eh per Taster macht - muß man ja auch nicht MorphPedal to Wah setzen, sondern konfiguriert sich das Pedal als Wah-Pedal ggf. mit WahPedal to Pitch und WahPedal to Volume. Schon hat man Pedal und Morphing unabhängig. Ich persönlich nutze Morphing ausschließlich über Taster.

Der untere Editor-Bereich arbeitet immer mit dem zurzeit im PROFILER geladenen Rig. Nimmt man Rig-Änderungen am Frontpanel des PROFILERs vor (z. B. Gain Anheben), so werden diese in Rig Manager abgebildet und umgekehrt. Für zwei PROFILER ist das nicht ausgelegt. Da können ja zwei verschiedene Rigs geladen sein.

Rig Manager weiß auch nicht, wie er damit umgehen soll, dass beide Gerät unterschiedliche Einstellungen in der Output-Sektion haben können. Es kann sogar abweichende Parameter zwischen verschiedenen Modellen geben: Beim Stage ist der MONITOR OUT von Hause aus Stereo, bei anderen Modellen nur optional und dafür gibt es dann einen Schalter. Ein PowerHead besitzt einen Software-Schalter für die Endstufe, Geräte ohne Endstufe natürlich nicht. Auf welche Output-Sektion soll sich Rig Manager also beziehen?

Da kann man sich natürlich Lösungen vorstellen, aber das wäre eine größere Aktion.

Solange man nur Rigs, Presets und Performance verschiebt oder im oberen Bereich Tags ändert, sollte das eigentlich funktionieren.

Ich kann ja ein Rig in PROFILER 1 per Einfachklick auswählen und dort z. B. dessen Rig Namen ändern, indem ich mit ENTER bestätige. Und anschließend lade ich ein Rig aus PROFILER 2 per Einfachklick, ändere dessen Tag Amp Channel und drücke wieder ENTER.

Der Abgleich des Owner Name bezieht sich auf den Owner Namen im PROFILER und den Owner Namen im Rig Manager, nicht auf die Owner Namen zweier verschiedener PROFILER.

The cable must be intact. Other than that we don't think "cable quality" is relevant for PROFILING.

If you don’t need the TAP, TUNER or LOOPER buttons to function as their default, you are free to assign other switching functions, or to deactivate them altogether. The soft button “Button Assignment” opens the “Assignable Buttons” sub-page. Use the three soft knobs on this page to change the assignments according to your needs. The option “Switch Up&Down” allows you to switch the functions of the Up/Down Buttons.

If such extensions work, as long as these do, lucky you. You might just be at the fence of undersupplying power to the Remote. Changing the environment just a bit and there could be issues. Therefor other users might immediately experience issues. KEMPER engineering does explicitely not recommend such extensions without the involvement of PoE. Don't take the risk, PoE injectors come at about 25 bucks.

They are with the exception of external pedal assignments (the Stage offers 4 sockets, while other nmodesl have 2 sockets plus Remote 4) and Monitor Output source (the Stage has stereo MONITOR OUT by design, while for other models its optional).

Distinguish between sound and display. The sound has priority and should switch nearly instantly, especially within the same Performance which is optimized for that.

You could also clear Effect Button assignments on the last page of Rig Settings. Here you can clear all assignments by Effect Button or even for all four Effect Buttons in one go.

PROFILER and Rig Manager allow to store and reuse presets of components like amplifier, cabinet and stack. However, most people maintain their PROFILEs in the form factor of Rigs, which represent the whole signal chain including amp, cabinet and effect modules. If you don't want effects in your Rigs, you can leave those modules empty. Rigs are also the form factor, how PROFILEs are typically shared in Rig Exchange, Rig Packs,... But you are free to take any Rig and just store the amp PROFILE included as an amplifier preset.

Describing issues like this, it is always helpful to use precise terminology. Rig Manager deals with the following data: Rigs, Presets, and Performances. A PROFILE could be included in an amp preset or in a cabinet preset. A stack preset would include both amp and cabinet PROFILEs. However, I'm assuming this issue report was related to Rigs, which include the complete signal chain from Input to module REV including amp and cabinet PROFILEs. But I'm not sure.

Something else to consider:

While the Mission Engineering EP-1 is very nice for wah effects as is mechanically mimics a Cry Baby, I prefer a Dunlop DVP3 for volume control as it offers a wider mechanical range. So, it's not necessarily a "one model fits all" situation.

Such an enhancement is already on our list. We have a Feature Requests area in this forum. I'm sure, it's already in there.
