PROFILER Operating System 7.5.2.18327 Public Beta

IF YOUR PROFILER IS CURRENTLY RUNNING OS 7.4.0 PLEASE UPGRADE VIA USB MEMORY STICK!

    Rig Manager 3.0.131 required!

PROFILER Stage users can immediately update to this revision regardless of the OS version currently installed!

To upgrade classical PROFILER models via USB memory stick from OS versions before OS 7.3, OS 7.3.2 needs to be installed first!

Older versions than OS 7.3 on classical models don't recognize this new integrated OS revision.

For this purpose OS 7.3.2 can be found on the Download Page at Older Software Versions.

fixed: sound anomalies, if High Shift in cabinet is not in neutral position

Each Rig loads with its base sound. Rig B doesn't necessarily include the same continuous parameters as Rig A. Perhaps you morph the Mix of an effect module in Rig A, which is empty in Rig B or includes a completely different effect in Rig B.

Can you provide a concrete application, where you need the overlay of two morphing dimensions? Could the same parameter appear in both, potentially with different ranges e. g. Morph 1: Bass + Treble, Morph 2: Middle + Treble?

Morphing is flexible by Rig. So you can use one Rig to morph parameter group A and another Rig to morph parameter group B. What is the real application for needing two different sets of morphed parameters within the same Rig? That would also require two Morph Pedals.

We would like to keep Rigs universal. If we would include input routing, output routing, pedal assignments, and other user preferences in Rigs, everybody would need to start debugging when previewing any Rig from another author. Pedal links like WahPedal to Volume are global but provide local flexibility.

OS 7.5.1 comes with three fixes:

    fixed: phasing issue Green Scream

    User Interface

fixed: UI to MIDI; slave PROFILER immediately switching into morph sound, if another Slot gets laoded

    fixed: sensitivity of knobs

Details like Panorama are explained in the Main Manual, not in the Quick Start that comes with the product. Main Manual 7.5 has about 300 pages and you can easily search for strings like "Panorama" in such a pdf document.

    Audio

added: new effect Acoustic Simulator in category Equalizer

added: new effects Phase Widener and Delay Widener in category Equalizer

added: new effect Auto Swell in category Compressor

added: Low Cut and High Cut filters in Output Section affecting all outputs

added: Pitch, Voice Interval, and Key in pitch and pitch delay effects can now be morphed

added: S/PDIF slave capability for classical PROFILER models manufactured since about 2019. New devices show option Auto/Internal in Output Section like Stage models do.

improved: S/PDIF latency decreased (at 44.1 kHz)

    User Interface

fixed: wrong Rig gets replaced when new Rig gets stored after PROFILING

fixed: UI to MIDI; slave PROFILER loading incorrect Slot with Performance Load set to Pending or Keep Rig

fixed: Looper Mode not displaying Overdub correctly, if Play/Record/Overdup button gets hold after First Recording.

fixed: expression pedals having dead area in heel and toe positions after each restart of PROFILER Stage

    Factory Content

added: five delay presets, twelve wah presets, one vowel filter preset, and one vibrato preset

changed: legacy wah presets changed to Pedal Mode=On

Such a separate output does already exist: HEADPHONE OUT. Many users including myself are using it to drive their IEM feeding the FOH monitor mix - without the guitar signal - into the Aux In. See the picture on page 116 of the Main Manual.

Booting and burning is faster than a normal update - a matter of a few minutes.

Normally, if you pull the USB memory stick during an upgrade, you should be able to restart with the OS that has been installed before. What happens, if you do?

Which OS version is currently installed, do you know? Which version is on our USB stick? Which PROFILER model do you use, a classical PROFILER or a Stage?

Please open a support ticket and provide that information.

What you describe is the nature of Freeze. From the Main Manual:

    ¨   Freeze

"Freeze" is an Action & Freeze function, which turns the delay into an endless loop. The delay track will be repeated without losing or gaining level, and without sound degradation. The input of the delay is cut, so no further signal is added to the delay, allowing you to play along to the loop.

    ….

In contrast to the Freeze function, Infinity Feedback still lets you add more signal to the delay, creating intermodulation with the repeated signal.

the MONITOR OUT is internally feeding the built-in power amp. As a consequence all settings of the MONITOR OUT are applied to the SPEAKER OUTPUT. You use the Monitor Output EQ for that purpose.

ad 1. This is normal and intended display switching.

While you manually intervene, the display offers more information assuming you are editing. This screen is identical with the screen you see on a classical PROFILER. While you use foot control, the display offers less information. This screen is identical with the screen on the Remote. For te screen for foot control you can chose between two layouts via Display Layout A and B in System Settings.

ad 2. Use drag and drop in Rig Manager to reshuffle modules. If you have no Rig Manager available, you can use the copy/paste function.
