Thanks for the report... very interesing findings. Need to check the 12&10 combination myself as I'm currently using 2 DXR10

Hm... but when you use HDMI the TV doesn't support 60hz operation... or does it have HDMI 2.0?
I find screens to be unusable when running at 30hz (hdmi speed) only... everything is stuttering. Don't you have a problem with that?I'm running a 3x27" triple screen setup @UHD each and had to connect to GPUs because I couldn't get all working @60Hz with only one card

Oh no Good luck with your new products!!

Try the KPA headphone out. I think it sounds really good. (and is very loud)
-
Max Input Level: 3V RMS
That probably explains it, iPhone has ~1V RMS output @1Megohm
-
I'm only posting my observations.
I know I was just a little confused, probably a little design flaw.
I'm currently looking for a wireless IEM system and probably will try this as well I planned to use the KPA as a "mixer" anyways so it should work -
I don't really understand this, why does the transmitter require a high line input level, doesn't it have some gain adjustment?
-
Wow, this looks really cool Needs some greenish stain
-
What I like about the KPA is that it has reminded me how "dynamic" old tube amps were and I have rediscovered what I had forgotten about using the volume and tone controls.
Absolutely. And the KPA is more dynamic than all my tube amps. Even if I profile those...
Sorry - I can't contribute anything on-topic ... I always end up playing covers with my tone -
Welcome and have fun

Cool project

Hey Jerome

Das Gerät wird nicht geöffnet dadurch, die Standfüße dienen wirklich nur als Standfüße und du kannst sie natürlich abschrauben.
-
There surely is as the FBV is much larger than the KPA remote
-
Playing bad with good tone still sounds better than with bad tone.
-
I also have the DXR10 and the CLR. The CLR sounds flatter to me, the DXR is more fun playing - so I use the DXR all the time.
Sometimes if I want to move some air I use a Freyette Power Station... but Pure Cab really lets the Power Station collect dust. -
Exactly. The Kemper cabs separate the men from the boys.
That's how it has been and how it will be in the future as well.I absolutely agree, there is some magic in the Kempers Cab Simulation that an IR can't duplicate. All those IR based modellers sound good on its own... until you actually put a Profiler next to it and listen in comparison. When I play the KPA without a Cab into an IR (in the DAW) ... I also loose a dimension ... hard to explain
Fun fact: I just profiled the Helix. It's 99% close, only that the profile sounds better
-
I think there is no mark x in the helix, have to read the manual will be doing some merged profiles with some default cabs I like.
-
I can take some profiles of the helix if you want. Just tell me which amp/cab(IR?) combination you want
-
For me if you truly want to compare, you compare a studio profile and you shoot an IR of the Kemper cabinet, use that in the Helix and compare the results because you don't want to rob the Kemper from the huge advantage in factoring impedance and all speaker interactions when all other modelers only approximate and have no way of knowing those numbers even if they can be entered as parameters unless they're going to manually measure the actual speaker with physical hardware only available to amp repair.engineers etc.
That's actually a brilliant idea....gone test that now Is there a way to find out whether a Rig is a Studio Rig or a Merged Rig?
