Anyone else still have the clock error post update?
and did you contact support to get your unit serviced?
please contact support for service: maybe your unit has a hardware issue after all...
Still have the error after updating!
please check:
- is your unit really updated to 7.1.5 (see System menu, at the end of the pages)
- did you set the clock ? (because the clock 'error' is shown when the year is before 2017)
jarabuandi: updated my previous post to make clear that 7.1.5. is addressing the clock/date problem
there is a new software version '7.1.5' available to fix the clock/date problem.
the noise described by madbanjoman and AiAKpr seems to be another issue
(maybe even induced externally outside the PROFILER ?)
Actually OP was but we'll let it rest
yeah.. sorry about that.. didn't read it correctly.. we'll let it rest indeed
it's very doubtfull that this problem is related to the clock problem. It's wise that you have opened a ticket: support will help you out.
guys: don't mess with the PROFILER's internals. Precisely the power supply of this device is complex and very high demanding.. it's not near as easy as cutting 1 cable and inserting some voltage somewhere. and that is besides the danger of electrocution
ergo: I'd strongly advice you to keep away
a new firmware is in the works
Hi, send the 7.1.4 with the 7.1.2 insert pls
regards
see your PM inbox
madbanjoman : thanks for your feedback!
hello user!!! ( mrserge)
you could try to be constructive and helpfull in stead of the opposite ...
what version are you using now?
please:
- update to 7.1.4 and check if the problem exist in that version
- downgrade to 7.1.2 and check if the problem disappears in that version
- report back
so can you also verify that downgrading to 7.1.2 doesn't have the problem with your unit then?
wow.. that's very interesting!
7.1.2 has severe other problems (mainly when using RigManager), so I'll provide a test version of 7.1.4 for you with the relevant changes regarding boot & clock reverted to 7.1.2 state
FW 7.1.4 is mainly addressing boot problems with some Stages. The clock issue *may* be related to it, and *maybe* not.
your scenario:
Display MoreInstalled FW 7.1.4
It does not fix the data/time issue.
Ie. for example (just like before)
- set time and date
- power down Stage
- unplug from maions
- wait for the power light to go off
- plug in the mains
- power on
-> Stage displays a clock error
is exact the same as described by AlexVaca .. this is actually a good hint I think.
unfortunately none of the multiple test-units over here shows that behaviour. We're waiting for some more units to arrive here in order to be able to reproduce it. Indeed at this moment it looks like the problem has started to occur right at the time that the feature 'Stage-remembers-standby-state' was implemented.
firmware on the KPA can not damage the hardware in any way
I'll send you a link for 7.1.4.SVN15448 per PM
to all others: if you're interested in testing out that version as well, please drop me a message.
There is a new firmware version on it's way. This new version mainly has a fix for Stages which don't start up at all (which was reproduce-able with a RMA unit over here) This version could also fix the date/clock problems (which still isn't reproduce-able here). I'll check with support and ask where and when the version is available in the pipe-line.
what is the exact version you got from support? (7.1.x.zzzzz ?)
