Note that Till is pointing to 2 different converters => SPDIF Profiler=>converter=>interface and Interface=>converter=>SPDIF Profiler. Get both do be able to reamp via SPDIF without having to change the SPDIF connection (which would be necessary and very annoying if you only get one version).

I got the spikes with a selfmade profile, definition on 6.0, Power Sagging on 2.7, Pick +0.8, Compressor 0.0. The clipping is clearly audible, see my post containing the soundclip for reference. I also had the spikes with the KM - Thrash rig, no alteration on that one (Definition on 10.0). Though it has a lower output than the selfmade rig the spikes show up just the same, lowering Definition to 0.0 does not kill the spikes. I'm using a guitar with EMG-707 with SPC preamp, pretty hot. Clean Sense -12.0 (But the spikes do not get worse even with Clean Sense set to +12.0dB as expected on a distorted tone). I think the spikes occurance is connected to the fact that the high strings are hit in my case ( and in Laardi's too), when just shredding on power chordalong i do not have any spikes, even when plaing heavy palm muted stops.

Hi ans welcome! Enjoy the Profiler!

Have you compressed the files and folders inside the backup or the whole backup? Check Step 17 and following.

I did not pay attention. But i can try again - my Profiler rarely sleeps .

At some point you will be playing the guitar extensively when you have found a great tone. That is a repeatedly reported phenomenon I regularly loose an hour or two when stuck on a profile i like.

Hi Deny,
i can not reproduce this issue. Tried various rigs / gain levels. I did not notice any changes in tone.

Ok, the pops may result from the scarlett being synced to internal. It must be synced to SPDIF when using the SPDIF connection, just for clarification. Is the analog way an alternative? If it is a hardware problem on the Profiler you won't have it solved in time i guess. There should not be that much difference in tone, IIRC there's a thread about the differences between analog and digital and they appear to be minor only.

Hi Richard,
sad to hear that. I'm using a scarlet 6i6 on a Mac, no issues with the Mixcontrol for me. I remember you posted another thread where you said the cables sit very loosely on the SPDIF connectors. Have you solved this? If yes: To me it sounds like there may be a mechanical problem with the connectors on the profiler, maybe a cold solder point. If no it may still be a problem with the plugs not sitting tightly enough.
Cheers

This eq setting pre o post amp section?
It's pre amp section. You can see that from the Pre Amp EQ flag pointing down on the edit window.

"The Dirt", biographie on Mötley Crüe and "White Line Fever" on Lemmy Kilmister are highly recommended.

Hi,
you can download the rig from Rig Exchange:

Hi and welcome, good to see someone else from hell .

The Kahler style bridges are the only solution i know of where no cavity for the springs is needed in the back of the guitar. It only requires a small cavity for the spring that is sitting under the bridge. It's very tuning stable and the sustain of the guitar is not affected too much. I got one on an ESP and i prefer it to the Floyd Rose Unit i have on another axe.

How are you monitoring the Profiler? Check your output settings. If it's connected to a Soundcard check if you are monitoring simultaneously via the Interface directly and the DAW. That would caause the phasey sound.

Hi and welcome. Enjoy exploring the profiles!

Maybe the mode of the FCB is determined to what the Profiler is set and if no Profiler is connected it defaults to Browse mode?
